1/2 Ton PU Best Deals?

Mom & Dad need to replace their '91 F150 to haul their cows to market and pull their (1) round bale trailer. (less than 5K lbs.) The year end closeout time is here so I guess it's time to start looking. Has anyone found the best PU deals of the season under $20K?

Ford has "employee pricing plus" going on right now. Prices were very good when GM did it last month.

2 wheel or 4 wheel - and does it have to be brand new? OUr local ford dealer is advertising new 2 wheel drive f 150's in the $14k range - and they've been selling their used 2006 extended cab 4x4's for about $16-18k, depending on xlt vs lariat.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I would think even a small livestock trailer would gross more than 5K loaded.

SnowRidge, he has a 6 calve or 4 small cow trailer. Beef weight = about 3,000 lbs.

Thanks for the Info went and checked the Ford F150 "employee pricing+" New 2WD plane janes are under 14K and STX about 16K.

There was a news story about a Dodge dealer that had a buy one get one free. If you bought a 4 door PU you got a 2 door free! I don't know where it was but you could google it.

Our Ford dealers are doing that here. I think it is you buy a loaded F-350 you get a F-150 work truck.
By the time you pay tax I am sure its no deal, just a gimmick.

you're paying full retail on the one with no room for wiggle, and all the incentives, rebates, etc... are being rolled into the price on the second.

That was down in Miami FL, here is the story. I wish I could part with my trusty 03 Ram 1500 to purchase a brand new Ram 2500.

Our local Nissan dealer was doing a deal where you buy any full size truck or SUV and get a brand new Altima free.
