Any thoughts on the possibility of selling my L39 tractor and hoe separately?

I have an offer for the tractor alone and not sure if it makes any sense to separate. Since the hoe is specifically matched to the tractor, just wondering how hard people think it would be to sell the hoe? Somebody could save many thousands by buying a used hoe and a new tractor. -I'm thinking it's not a great idea, but possible. Thoughts?

I'm thinking folks tend to go for the package deal.

First why do you want to sell your unit?

Not a good idea to separate, you may just end up owning a very expensive lawn ornament for a long period of time. Because it will be shear luck to find someone that wants to buy just a BH for an L39.

Why? Because I moved and it no longer fits my property.

You need to consider a couple of things. What will the tractor and hoe bring together? What will the tractor and hoe bring seperately? How much of a demand is there for that particular model hoe? If you can get enough for the tractor to make up for the loss on the hoe, then sell seperately. If you are going to take a beating on the hoe, sell them together. I'm sure the hoe could be sold on eBay, but would it bring what you need or want? Maybe check eBay for what hoe's are going for and that might help you make your final choice. It's always going to be easier to sell the tractor and hoe togerher.

I have never sold one without a hoe new! That said I would lay odds on it that 75 percent of them sold or more with the hoe!

That would mean that the market for just the hoe is LOW! The amount of pieces tht would need to be removed so the hoe would go onto the next tractor would also be a bit of work.

I wouldn't go there!

I've sold my two previous tractors and previous hoe seperately. Had no problems selling just a hoe. The drawback for you is that you will either have to remove any subframe to attempt to find a buyer with the same tractor to recoup any investment in the subframe....... or, leave the subframe on the tractor and consider it a 100% loss. I really don't think you will have any problem finding a buyer for a used hoe as long as its in good shape. Both backhoes i've owned were slightly used when i got them, and i was ecstatic to find them them that way. It may be a challenge to assist in loading your hoe in a buyers truck/trailer if your tractor is gone though..........

With all that siad.....obviously it would be easiest to sell them together. Perhaps make the potential buyer of the tractor a deal he can't refuse to take everything?

Too bad your subframe won't fit my tractor or I'd try to make a deal for your hoe.

for normal a japper hoe didnエt fit to a normal 3pt. I guess You get a better Value, if You sell tractor and hoe together. I will be hard to find a customer which is searching for the hoe alone.
