How does JD110TLB compare to M59TLB?

   / How does JD110TLB compare to M59TLB? #11
There was a bit of discussion on this about 2 years ago.

At that time the consensus was that the specs may be similar, but in actual use the 110 has a stronger loader than the L39.

I have never used an L39, so I have no experience at all with one, but I can say that I have never stalled my 110 loader on any kind of pile, no matter how old or how compacted. It has always been able to break out and lift a heaping bucketload. It is possible to find pieces of concrete too big to pick up...

I have the Deere 4-n-1 bucket, which holds 1/2 yard in a struck bucket.

It is not advisable to lift a heaping bucket to full height to load it into a dumptruck. Dirt & rocks will spill out and fall on the hood and the operator. Don't ask how I know this.

I realize you are a dealer and respect your opinion. I have a friend who has a L39 and is very happy with it and I have a 110 and am very happy with mine. Neither of us would swap but we'd both be happy to have the other machine if it had to be that way. It's just personal preference.

I considered the M59 seriously when I bought the 110 but chose the 110 based on personal preference. I just liked it better.

here's a nice alternative to both:

2007-JCB-Midi CX-Backhoes-W. Frankfort-IL

1995 JCB 210 Loader Backhoe For Sale At MachineryTrader.com

I think either of these JCB's are much more machine and designed by a company that knows as much about backhoes as deere and much more than kubota. ;)

Builder, I would seriously consider that JCB Midi but I dont believe the B/H comes off that machine. I would have a hard time using my shredder, boxblade, P/H digger, middle buster etc. :D

That's the best part.....then you have to own another tractor! :D:D

You know seriously, I hated removing the backhoe from my L39 to the point that I would have rather spent another 10-15K on another tractor to pull 3pt implements. But if you can own only one tractor, The L-39/JD110 is probably the best alternative.

Even though it's only a matter of 20 minutes to drop the hoe and then hook it back up - it is a PIA - especially when it's -5F!!

And man, Oh man; everytime I see comments like this ---

Yes, construction machinery is cheap as dirt now. Case 580s under $10K
have been common here for a year. I went to a live auction 10 days ago and
a Takeuchi TB25 excavator went for $1750. That's a fully working 7000#
machine. Wow.

I get itchy all over!!!! :D :D Time to shine up the hub caps on the DuraMax...

AS My luck would have it.. I just missed out on a M59 160hrs w/hydro tumb. and looked to be a Long grapple, 2 B/H buckets for 28K located in Fla.

I Found it on Ebay was bidding on it I had some reservations about buying something like that on ebay. Today I log on and its been removed from the auction. I thinking scam but the fellow had other listing that had his phone number on.

I give him a call and he says he sold it out rigth for 28K. He missed my messages on ebay because he was out of town. I asked if it was a rental unit, and he says no he just came back from Tx. using for the hurricane clean up....

I find that hard to believe. Heck, I sold my L-39 for ~$30,000 2&1/2 years ago with more hours on it.

Even in this wicked bad economy, an M-59 would sell for more than a L-39. He could still be BS-ing you even over the phone.

Kubota has removed the build your own from the site,, before, I priced themn in several different configurations and none were under 55 grand, There is no way a 160 hr machine would sell for 28 grand,, It just doesn't add up unless it is another scam or a dealer using bait and switch tactics.

I just got there on the Kubota site. An M59 TLB with no options lists for just under $55K.
