You guys are a joke. Most of you have never done more than typed on your keyboard. Texas is flat? I guess you have never been there. I am by no means a trucker but I do tow about 75 different trailers a year and pull on average 10,000 miles a year for the last 15 or so years. Being a pilot I have had the opportunity to visit and drive every corner of this country and while Colorado area has some tough roads I have found just as tough in Washington or New Hampshire. Texas is flat to steep and always hot which is more of a challenge. The average guy on here puts a 3,000# Kuboat on his trailer once a month to go over to his brothers place and play in the dirt.
None of these trucks are under powered. GM hands down wins the power war when you look at the 6.0 and diesel but the 5.3 is the worst V8 of the bunch. The rest of the truck is where it lacks. The Hemi makes good power, but just in the wrong place. Again, Dodge needs to work on a few things and get a real gas truck engine in there.
Look at a diesel, even the old 6.5 GM, 7.3 Ford, or 5.9 Cummins. I am talking the older ones. They made maybe 200ish HP and about 400 FT LB Torque and this was plenty because the made it in the right area, below 2000 RPM's. These were great tow rigs for the time.
I guess we will leave the foreign trucks out of the mix. You guys can not stand that they are making trucks that are on par or above the big 3. Well at least he big 1!. The other 2 belong to Obama now.
