Ummmmm............. Rick somebody.... I figured this was an easy question. Such as "Oh they come standard with a 1/2 yd bucket"

Any dealers car to opine?

If you really need to be precise. Your bucket can be devided into two volumes: a triangular volume and rectanglar one. The volume of the triangle will be B x H x L/2. The volume of the remaining rectangle will be H x D x L. The add them together.

Post the dimensions of your bucket (with and without the toothbar) and I'll do it for you. I couldn't find them on Kioti's website.

I too would like to see some measurements of the bucket and we can figure out ho many cu ft it'll hold.

Just for refrence I looked at my loader book and my 60" bucket capacity is 8.1 cu ft struck and 9.9 cu ft heaped.

So at about 2 cu ft per foot of bucket I'd guess your's at about 12 w/o the tooth bar. With the tooth bar I'd say you can easially scoop 1/2 yd which is 13.5 cu ft.

Don't forget that by time you got home your 3 yard load of heaping mulch had probably settled down to 2 yards from the vibration of the truck on the road. Until you shoveled it off the truck and fluffed it back up to 3 yards again.

I'm actually kind of surprised Kioti doesn't list bucket volumes on their site.
I'm going to guess it holds about 1/2 yard flat loaded, more heaped.
this is based on my 9 Cu Ft "easy dump" (tapered side) 72" bucket and my 14 Cu Ft "straight sided" 72" bucket.

For what its worth...I have a six cubit foot capacity wheelbarrow. With only a modicum of spillage, I can empty three wheelbarrow loads of manure into my 72inch Kioti bucket. This is pretty imprecise, but from it I'd say the one-half (plus) yard volume is a fair estimate for a six-footer without a toothbar.

It is listed if you click on the "Brochure" button for most models, but not for the DK40SE.

I still think it is a 12 cu ft bucket.

They do list the volume for the 66" bucket on the kl351 @ .31 cu meters, which is about 11 cu ft.
11/5.5= about 2 cu ft per ft of bucket
2 x 6 = 12 cu ft

That is if it is about the same depth as the kl351, which it probabally is, it is just a little wider

Since this was driving me nuts and I had nothing better to do...I called a kioti dealer.

He confirmed that the kl351 66" bucket is identical to the kl401 72" bucket it is just 6" wider. So that would make your bucket a 12 cu ft on the money.

Sweet so with a toothbar it safely holds .06yrds more than .44 yards making it 1/2 yard bucket
