Vandals Destroy $500,000 Worth of Farm Equipment

That sure is a lot of money. That's another reason for neighbors, (and human beings in general), to be on good terms with each other. Each keeps an eye out and watches for the other. Almost a necessity in this day and time. I wonder how things would have turned out if an armed neighbor, (with cell phone), drove out...or called the owner before investigating the noise the vandals were making? That also would have made the news.

if someone tries to vandalize my home they will not leave it. especially if my family is in the house, for the family not to feel safe in their own home or land is a crime in itself.

Anybody know what accoustical sealant is?

For those that don't, it's a black, very sticky goo used in construction. It never dries, and can only be washed off with paint thinner.

We had a street sign at the end of our driveway which vandals would keep targeting. As the only landmark around, it was critical for safety and deliveries.

After straightening it up the umpteenth time recently, I applied a good bead on the stuff along the top, for rust protection.

They got the sign again last weekend, but I bet they were in a real mess too.

I noticed the other day a street sign on a pole about 15 ft high. Figured it kept getting stolen by guys named Chris so they raised it out of reach. Chris Dr. in Columbia SC:D

That gives me an idea, try coating the sign with the sap of poison ivory.

According to our Public Works supervisor, the most replaced sign in our town is "Lois Lane".

I kid you not, it's up the road.

They renamed the street called "Pig **** Lane". Too bad, I would have like to have a picture of that one.

I will admit that once in my youth I swiped a road sign :(. It was in a neighboring state and said xxxx county line with xxxx being my last name. I was passing thru, saw it, turned around and came back and unbolted it in broad daylight. It's still hanging in my garage.
