I think the story goes like this.
He drove to Texas bought the trailer, then to Oklahoma to get it loaded with a metal frame building. Something like 40X60.
Then took it home to Alaska!!!!!!!!!!
It is a 5 speed. Only issues were at the canadian border and down the mountains.
He just played dumb when asked about the weight.

I wouldn't doubt that that the hole rig is around 43K as the truck & trailer would be around 15K and 30K of load would not be hard to put on there. I was at a steel factory one time and the fork lift operator put about 30,000 on my trailer, when I seen the weight I made him take a little off and I made a second trip. I have seen dodge's scale over 50,000 @ the elevator with corn in the trailer. I am just glad I didn't meet this guy on the wrong side of a hill.
