Is It ok to replace just the front tires. Or do I need to replace all 4. The back tires are still in pretty good shape.

I know on 4wd cars/trucks it can cause premature wear and/or failure of the differentials.

I don't know about 4wd cars and trucks for sure, but my impression is that they travel at highway speeds on pavement most of the time, whereas tractors spend most of their time being driven on soft soil at speeds below 5 mph. I would change just the front tires without a second thought.

Are your front tires really that bad? Are you sure you aren't suffering from "new-to-you tractor-itis"? We all do it. We get a new tractor and anything not perfect just becomes something we worry about too much. Tractors bring out the OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder) in all of us.;):D

Post a picture. If you show me yours, I'll show you mine.

Thanks jinman. I figured it wouldn't matter.

I think they are pretty bad. I'll post a pic tonight. At first they didn't look too bad but the more I look at them they look pretty bald. I found OEM replacements online for $125 each with free shipping. I will install them myself so it won't bee to bad.

Where online did you find TC35A tires for $125? Mine are badly cracked. They worry me on the hill out back.
Thanks,

Your rear tires will cost 3x-4x that much each. Your front tires will wear
out extra fast if you drive on pavement in 4WD, since the speed of the
front wheels is a bit more than the rear. Your rears can last many hundreds
of hours if only driven on dirt.....they will likely wear out by the time the
fronts are replaced once, twice, or even 3 times.

I don't recall at the moment but I have it book marked at home. I'll try to update it later. I think I also found them pretty cheap on Ebay.

Nebraskatire.com has some pretty good prices on blemished and overstock tires. I ordered replacement front turf tires for $44 each including free shipping.

I found them on Ebay for $90 each. With shipping for 2 tires its $250. They only have a few left though so they might not last long. There may be others from other sellers.

I took a real good look at them tonight when I got home. The outer part of the lugs has alot of meat left but the centers only have about 3/8" left on them. These tires have about 1130 hours on them. I use 4wd most of the time as there is lots of mud here now. 2wd is useless with no weight on the rear when using the loader.
All in all I think they have some life left in them but for $125 each it may be worth picking them up now for later.

I didn't get a chance to take a pic as I was running it until dark. I have this picture that I took the day I picked it up.

The first two photos are of my left front tire now. The second two photos are of my right-front tire at delivery in February 2001. I don't see that much difference in my tires or yours. Industrials have a thin cleat in the middle for hard surfaces and a thicker cleat on the sides with a flat rolling surface.
