SC 2400

If you go to the Cub parts page and use "sc2400" with no spacing as the model number, you will get a complete parts listing.

Hope this helps.

At some point I downloaded a parts list for the sc2400. The manual contains the tractor and engine. It is in pdf format and I would be willing to email it to you if you pm me that you want it. It is form #769-03821 and is dated 08/08. I am not sure how this differs from the service manual.

Can anyone tell me about the lower links on the sc2400? It seems they will only spread about 22 inches apart. most 3 point equipment use more like 26 inches. Am I doing something wrong? I want to get a 4 foot rotary cutter for it.

Just turn the pins around on the mower!

Thanks for the quick reply. That wouldn't work on the 5' woods cutter I have on my 8n. I see several sc2400's listed here with a 4' rotary cutter, but the sales people around here seem clueless about the compatability. What model rotary cutters are being used on the sc2400?

The "chains" are adjustable bolts that alow you to adjust the spread on the lower arms. Check your owners manual.

I have a generic full size 4' brush hog that works fine. Also use a full size 5' box scraper. By full size, I mean an attachment that is not scaled down for the sub-compact.

Since no one posted any pics, here you go. I found a dealer during my trip, unfortunately they were closed. Looks like a nice unit. I too was considering one but local dealer had a falling out with Cub and dropped them and the only other dealers around here are also New Holland dealers and they don't seem to want any new customers.

The chains are loose. Are you telling me that your lift arms spread far enough that you didn't have to turn your pins around?

Just because the "chains" are lose, does not mean that they are lose enough. I can spread the lower lift links over 30" apart. After attaching your implement, be sure to retighten the "chains".

Hope this helps.

HMMMN. Even with the turnbucles removed from the chains I can't get the lift arms more than 22 1/2 inches apart. I don't thin my 8N can go 30 inches!
