What is retail for a new sunshade? Our L2650 needs one bad?
Figured someone would ask that. I don't know. I had bought a sunshade for the L3240 I had last year and when I traded the L3240 toward the B3200 I had taken the sunshade off. I took it off because it wouldn't fit in my building with the sunshade on. Barlows traded my previous sunshade for this new one so I don't know cost. Maybe other buyers will tell.

Yup- get another 1/8 to 1/4 plate of metal. drill holes that matches where u bolts go( use top as template). invert the u bolts and weld it to the top plate. get large wingnuts and use wingnuts on bottom onto the new plate you made.

I'm looking easy, no welder here. My mount looks similar, but I've got a bunch of adjustment holes in it, along with a piece of rubber to stop the rattles.

I'd like easy and tool-less, fast and reliable too.

Something like the old hood pins we had on our cars or something. Also need to wire some lights up to mine also.

Jeff from Ga: Picture this with the see thru screen wire draping down from the top all around. It would be the summer cab that would also have stopped the wasper that attacked one of my tractors several times before stinging me right between the eyes a couple of years ago.:) Air would come thru and the sun would be restricted. May file for a patent and sell them.

Adjusted angle of top today. Used a couple pieces of Oak scrap from my workshop and 3 washers. Tried 2 washers on each side of bracket by ubolts and wasn't satisfied so undid and cut strips of wood and added them and then stuck 3 washers in center to sort of add more support. The attaching plates has one plate on top of the other on this model so one plate isn't touching roll bar. I cut one of my Oak strips a bit thicker so it fits under the higher piece and it's now supported all the way across. Angle still seems a bit off when off the tractor but when on the tractor would not want the front any lower due to view and getting off and on tractor without hitting head on the top.
Pictures of before and after angle.

Is that the right sunshade for that model? Is that the regular or the deluxe one? It seems to me that a wood shim should not be necessary for the installation.

Looking at yours and comparing it to mine, it looks like mine is bigger. I know the mount to the ROPS is completely different on mine.

What about the boy sitting beside her without the head?:)
Figured some astute observer would see it.

I don't know if it's right or wrong one or who would determine what the right or wrong sunshade for a BX tractor is. It's the one Barlows sold me for my tractor. I'm going to believe it's the right one because it seems to be the right size to me for my tractor. The wood shim is not necessary. I had it mounted without the wood shim and wanted a different angle so I added shims. I just wanted to change the angle and since it clamps to the roll bar the roll bar angle determines the angle of the sunshade. The sunshade I had on my L3240HST also had this same angle as it also clamped to the roll bar and followed the angle of the roll bar. I guess sunshades are made by different suppliers/brands and each one probably has their own mounting system. Don't know and don't care what brand this one is. It's solid, heavy, does it's intended job and to me seems to fit correctly.

Don't you have a B instead of a BX? If so, they are different. The roll bar on B and BX are different. The mounting plates seem to be some type of universal mounting plates that can be installed in several different configurations. Probably to attach to even different brands of tractors. On my BX this seemed to be the only way they will fit. If I installed it on my B then I believe the plates would turn around and attach differently. Even then the top would follow the angle of the roll bar where it has to clamp to. As far as bigger, I guess again each company that makes them determines what size they will make them. My choice was a big one or a small one. For the BX I chose the small one. Actually traded a big one that was on my L3240 to this small one for my BX. The one on my L3240 had 2 handles that you pulled down to lift it off the tractor, then when you wanted to put it back on you just set the top back on and pushed the two handles back down to lock it back on. Could have kept the big one but I believe it would have been to big. I can/did drive into my garage with this one but it was close. Some dealers may have small, medium or large or even more different sizes. You probably have a different brand than mine. Don't think Kubota makes them, I think they are made by whoever wants to make them and then try to get a dealer to sell their product or maybe even market dirrectly to the end user.

I was wondering if there is a universal sunshade, for the b and bx"s I would like to see how it works on a bx 24 if you want to use the backhoe, do they make them with work lights built it? thanks for the pics JOHNTHOMAS

yep, 2620, from Barlow's, good dealer.

I think mine might be a little bigger, but not by much. Not sure about the mount on mine being universal or not, mine fits like a glove and looks like it has a piece of OEM rubber to keep it from making noise on the ROPS.

Mine has the front bolt holes and there's like 3 or 4 more on the back for tilting the whole thing.

I should see if I can get pins and clips to make it easier to remove so I can sneak into my garage.
