You don't think that it uses too much of the loaders lift capacity?
The specs claim that my loader lifts more that the 130 loader so maybe I'd be happy with it.

Your JD can handle the light duty WRLONG bkt no problem. Being light-duty
does make it less robust than other 4n1s, however.

Mine is the WRLong HydroJaw2, or HJ2-60, and I weighed it. It comes in
at 326#, 146# more than my OEM bucket. Note that I do not have QA
plates, which add a lot of weight. I also added some reinforcement to the
thin 1/8" carcass, and to the side edges. That added some weight...maybe
30#.

No worries, I had my dealer price a few different 4in1's about 6months ago. But I don't think long was one of them.

Wow that's light I think my grapple weighs about the same.

I have a regular duty 60" WRLong 4n1. Nice piece of equipment but I would personally advise that people think carefully before investing in something like this. I got mine for $500 barely used via ebay and at that it is obviously a bargain but at full price the bang for the buck needs to be carefully calculated. If you are in construction then it probably makes sense as an all purpose single attachment when on site. For just about everyone else though the combination of a standard bucket and grapple is both cheaper and much more effective.

As a bucket the 4n1 works fine but is heavier and much more expensive than the standard bucket you already own (or could own for much less money). It is also more vulnerable to damage than a standard bucket and requires maintenance the standard bucket never needs.

The 4n1 is a lousy grapple. It can pick up only one or at most two branches or logs at a time because it "grapples" from top to bottom so gravity works against you. A true grapple allows you to cram a huge amount into the device and then use the upper grapple to just stabilize the load that sits on the bottom tines. How many fireplace logs can you pick up with your fingers compared to stacking in the crook of your arm while using the other hand to stabilize the load? Same principle. The 4n1 is also more vulnerable to damage than a true grapple or grapple bucket and is easily damaged by clamping down on a rock as that can bend the relatively unsupported middle of both the blade and the bucket bottom.

4n1 bulldozer feature is cute and truly is useful at times but it is not a real bulldozer by any means and needs to be used carefully so as not to risk damage to the long FEL arms. It does work nicely to push loose dirt around and I like using mine while cleaning up after digging out stumps etc with a BH.

Backdragging with the open clamshell is theoretically the 4th function but has very very limited use so for practical purposes these things are 3n1.

I like my 4n1 but it is like having a Swiss Army knife. Useful more many tasks but master of none.

Island, I already have the grapple and understand the 4in1 is not going to work on a cut like it would on full size equipment. My deere came with a ld materials bucket which has held up ok with all the rock I've loaded. I wanted to get the hd version with the tooth bar and bolt on edge option. But the cost is over $700 so I can get into the 4in1 (which is more stout than my current ld bucket) and get the ability to clam shell spoils from harley raking. My property is also very hilly so when finish grading I often end up with small piles and can never seem to get them scooped up without doing more damage. I could always get the shovel and load the bucket but what fun would that be. I've been keeping my eye open for a used one but they always are HD units that just weigh too much. I've got my millonzi grapple and a rock bucket so I think the 4in1 will really complete the line.

I did not mean to sound like the 4n1 is never justified and your situation sounds like it will fit in nicely. I was more focused on pointing out to the CUT owner thinking of adding a front end impliment that they should not think a 4n1 will really replace grapple, box blade etc. I do use mine and it is very handy for small tasks it just isn't particularly great at any of them. At approx $2000 I can think of other tools I'd add first and there hasn't been a task yet that I could not have done with either grapple, standard bucket or box blade that I could do with the 4n1. There are lots of jobs that could only ineffiently be done with the 4n1 that one of the other less expensive implements could manage easily.

I've got the box blade too, I've been toying (for some time) with getting a deere 110 tlb and just ordering the 4in1 with the tractor. But my biggest issue is my currentmount does everything I ask of it very well. And it fits in some really tight spots a larger machine won't go. I've also found with the cost of these cuts and there attachments a good used skid steer and mini ex can be had. So I think I may add a used mini ex in the future but for now I really think the 4in1 will be a handy item. I really think it will shine with picking up the small piles let from raking. I'm also thinking I'll be able to keep the bh on more since I'll be able to do some grading with it. They definatly are a bit overpriced. I wanted the frontier unit at a local dealer. Until I went in and found out what they were asking. These guys wanted almost 3k. I laughed my way right out the door. I had my local dealer quote me several makes awhile back but they weren't too competative.
