I've only seen a few rolling setups, do you want yours to be movable?

Otherwise mostly just drop em out of the way and they're fine. Mine stays put, I block the bucket linkage so it doesn't bleed down and get the whole works out of whack, and tie the outriggers together to keep them in place as well.

Not pretty but just parked in a hoop tent, with a heavy blank underneath to keep it stable.

I was wanting to build some kinda metal roll around stand that would not
flip over or have the out riggers out and I would be able to attach to the
tractor EZ . I have seen a few photos posted but not my kinda backhoe or not safe looking .Some posted photos of stands have been down right bad Idea " Like furnture dollys from HF tools " I have a concrete floor in the shop and would like
to be able to push the thing around if needed.

I made this one out of scrap chanel and angle iron. I used 3 inch cast iron casters and it works perfectly.

I plan on having a garage with a real floor on it next year, and was wondering about modifying one of those motorcycle/ATV lifts for my backhoe.Make a pad that the backhoe is held study on top of the lift. Unhook and drop it down and roll it away. Would also help in raising it straight up under the tractor when reattaching it without having to play around with the bucket and boom assembly and/or stabilizers to get it to align perfectly. I haven't researched the travel on them, but think it might just work.

Just a thought!

If you make a stand with wheels, I would suggest using 6" or larger steel wheels.

Northern has them for around $14 each, and they will easily roll over bumps.

Yeah these things are pretty heavy and clumsy, If I were to build a moving stand it would have to be pretty HD for my standards.

Not built out of bed frame and chintzy wheels.

Not the best pics just took them a the floresent lights werent working to good since its about 6 deg F right now.But anyways heres a roll around cart I made a couple years ago.It obviously needs to be on concrete, but moves easily and makes installing and removing a snap.

Lil43 , That looks good and strong and well planned looks like you have
got it balanced well . What keeps the bucket up and off the floor ?
I think I may have to have the bucket on mine also on part of the cart .
I think it may be too top heavy the way my backhoe is made to have it up in the air.

thanks Starman,Ya it,s very stable. If you look at the second pic you,ll see a hook on the boom (that came factory) that holds it up.I have a small ratchet strap across the outriggers or they would settle to the ground.
