He should have bought a Kubota

When you find yourself at the bottom of a hole, quit digging, or in the case of a tractor, stop spinning. :)

I'm a JD man and I thought this thread and jokes were funny.:D I really liked the one with the kubota in the mud pulling out the "stuck" truck.

Why not read the other forums, there's good information in all of them and some good jokes and pictures. We're all tractor people, not seperate groups ready to go to war with each other.

This is my first post in the Kubota forum and probally won't be the last. :)
I haven't went to the other forums due to time constraints. I only have about 2-3 free hours a day for the computer and I spend most of that on the Kubota forum, course I have to check emails, WOOT.com, fatwallet.com, Amazon deal of the day, Ebay daily deals, local newspaper on line, and the World and National headlines.
I got to thinking again today, for a few minutes on the way to Church, about why I bought a Kubota. It was Money. JD $3000 more for comparable deal and NH was $2500 more. That's why I started with Kubota. Now why I've bought another 9 of them past that first one has been because of my satisfaction with my dealer and Kubotas. I realize I could have just as easily started with a Blue or Green tractor if their price had been in line but I felt their prices were not in line so I'm an Orange guy now instead of a Green or Blue Guy. Doubt there is much difference in any of them as seems to be shown by you guys that own more than one tractor of different colors. So, that I hate JD is foolish, I don't even know him! Don't think I could hate someone I don't even know. In fact, I don't hate anybody and I've known some real "turds".:) Now I will admit there are people I shy away from their company and really dislike their actions but to me hating people is wrong and hating machinery is stupid. You do remember the old Ford vs Chevrolet Wouldn't have one don't you. That's right you or your Dad or Uncle or Grandpa. Guess some of you are still out there.:)

I think you misunderstood the context in that photo. Their hooking up the BX to pull that dodge out... aren't they :D

I promise you any good operator could free that Kubota..would not need a truck to pull it out, especially from the front. All the operator has to do is put a tree trunk of wood under the bucket of the FEL and lower the FEL with the bucket and push himself out backwards...I have done it more than a few times but I have only done it with a JD and NH...maybe Kubotas are different..LOL

That was me and the boxblade kept me stuck. Was easier to hook up the truck then go find a log (rolleyes)

You shouldn't have even needed a log. Just dump the bucket, lower all the way into the ground, and curl back while in reverse. If it doesn't get you out, hold the breaks to keep what you gained and try again.

Did you try this method?? From the pic it didn't look like it or the bucket would have been covered/dripping with the muck that you were in.

If you look down you can see where I tried this. The boxblade was FULL of thick mud. Both front and rear had so much suction it wasn't funny. Guess you would have had to been there. Much easier to just hook it up and pull it out ;)

I've found it's always easier to tell someone how they should have done something if your not there.:D I got a BX2200 with a MMM stuck up on top of a brush pile one time. I had a FEL and thought I could get out of anything. I couldn't. The outcome of that experience was to trade the BX2200 for a B7800 FEL for the higher ground clearance. Now, I could have got a chain saw and cut the brush pile up or maybe but I doubt it, got the MMM off. But a man was coming the next day with a Cat Front loader so I took the easy way out and told him to go get my tractor off the brush pile. To pay him back he came one time with a Cat dozer and his tracks froze and he couldn't get it to move. I got my B7800 and with FEL lifted his tracks enough to get them unstuck so he could get it to move off the trailer. I never let him live it down that it took a little Kubota to lift his CaT Dozer off his trailer.
