Golf carts as support vehicles...

We have both a Gator HPX and an EZ-Go gas cart with utility box on the back. The golf cart came from my father-in-laws neighbor and was to help my wife do her gardening on our hilly 5 acres. After 15 years or more of using it, she wanted something with a dump bed to save her from having to shovel dirt out of the utility box as well as in. That's when we bought the Gator-it's hers. She doesn't want to operate my tractor.

When she got the Gator, I 'inherited" the golf cart. It's perfect for carrying my chainsaw, fuel, oil, etc. between my shop and the woods. The golf cart is actually better for just moving a person or two around the property.

I recently bought an excavator for work towards the back of our property, and so the golf cart has become more valuable for moving between my shop and the excavator.

My wife does let me drive the Gator if she's not using it.

bought a club car electric for my wife to get around our 5 ac+/_ cuz she has RA. Best **** $500 i ever spent. Problem is now my son likes to use it for deer hunting cuz it is so quiet. I will prolly buy another for the hunting and lift it etc. I also belong to another forum called buggiesgonewild.com which is an awesome golf cart site. I enjoy that one as much as I do this and get an equal amount of info/knowledge. If you have a cart check it out.

I have a Bad Boy Buggy, nothing more than a beefed up golf cart. It gets far more use than the tractor. I removed the rear seats and built a bed for it. Great for getting around the farm and general farm work. Makes fencing MUCH easier, as I can have everything I may need right there, plus the winch works well for stretching wire.

I am an avid turkey hunter and would love to have a bad boy buggy but have yet been able to make myself spend the money. I have been looking for the next best thing a lifted golf cart with aggressive tires. I hunted from a electric golf cart with a friend once and the quiet cart made for a very enjoyable day in the woods. Nice only to hear the leafs crunch under the tires.

I've played some courses and hit some shots were a fancy 4X4 golf cart would have been quite useful.

I think that "golf cart" refers to a style of vehicle rather than one specifically made for golf. Those would not be very useful in the field since the rear is made to carry golf clubs rather than farming equipment.

my golf carts pulls a 17ft trailor we have loaded. only thin a utv has is larger price tag and more speed stock for stock. we have a local guy who builds golf carts and makes a 23 hp v-twin engine kit 60-75 mph depending on you specific layout. And enough torque to haul anything .id say keep you load 5000 lbs & under should be ok

We have Club Car golf cart with a flip flop rear seat (one side is a seat, flip it over its a deck). We just got it back running again after 2 years of fighting with the OBC. 48v and it's a stealthy creature! We use it working and playing. As times as they are I'd sell it IF the price is right!
