Hydraulic top link

I can't say that I understood how it worked. It was definately unusual but it worked. I tried to find the flyer I got but couldn't find it. It had a website on it. If I find it, I'll repost. I think they called it hydrolink (my spelling doesn't look right).

But the demonstrator hooked the thing up to the box blade in about a minute by hand. When he raised it up, using the tractor, he twisted a valve on the top link and it would lower the implement wherever he wanted it. I was impressed.

It was probably a linear actuator.

No...I remember them pointing out that it wasn't powered. It didn't have any batteries, electrical wires or hoses. It was definately hydraulic. I just have no idea how it worked... lol

Without seeing it, I would suspect that it is just a hyd. dampened manual type link. That or the guy has figured out how to get something for nothing.:D The way I see it, if I has to touch it, it is manual.

I think I would still prefer fully hydraulic top link. Wonder what it costs. Kinda like everything else, marketing will tell us it is a must have.

3000 psi max. operating ? kinda sounds like it works like a dampening control ie: shock absorber with the dial setting for stiffness or more of a luxury ride. Why not just hook a $20 trailer sway control to the blade off ebay that would dampen the shocks one would feel from the implement.
Still do not understand how do you lock it at a certain angle/tilt. Cannot wait for download of the demo (dialup) will do it tommorow.
It looks like someone found a way to almost mimick what a set of remotes and the Hyd.cylinder do. Now wonder if it gonna cost more than a hydaulic cylinder but less than the set maybe somewhere around $2-300.

To add to the HTL conversation. I ordered mine on Monday this week. I called CCM today because I noticed that my Visa card has not been charged and that my email request for the tracking number had not been answered in 4 days.

Here is why I need my top link shipped this week. I live in Canada and they do not ship to Canada. Now I happen to live about 1.2 hours from the US border and lots of us Manitobans use a parcel service in North Dakota. I am heading down that way next weekend for other business at my BC dealer and the drive to the border is another 20 minutes past the dealer.

I was very surprsised to get the answer of that we are too busy and that we are selling lots of stuff and are way behind. I was told that emails are not checked daily but weekly. I mentioned that I was using this parcel service and that time was somewhat sensitive when I ordered. UPS ground shipment takes 4 days from TN to ND. I was kind of mad with the answers I got today. I am not sure what I should do. Seems to me they don't need the business.

Now they mentioned today that it would go out today or Monday. That it cutting the delivery times very close. If it doesn't go out by Monday I probably wouldn't have time to source another and get it shipped.

I really want the HTL and need it badly for my dirt work that I need to get underway.

I'm always surprised at business' that don't respond or have weak excuses to accepting my money. I don't ever run my business' that way.
