Ok, talk about a bonehead move. Got me one of those fancy yellow diesel containers from TSC the other day, went to use it the first time to fill the tank on my B2630, lo an behold the plastic spout popped off and is now somewhere in my gas tank. I can't see it floating anywhere - it must have sunk to the bottom.

Any ideas on how to get this thing out ?:confused3:

Thanks in advance for any help.

I lost one of those "no spill" spouts on the very first fill up on the day I took delivery of my bx. 3 years later it's still in there and I haven't encountered any issues.

I've got that same tank...seems like the spout would float. Maybe it's just hung up somewhere. How about running the tank down real low and checking the bottom of the tank with a little flashlight and try fishing it out with one of those flexible little 4-prong retrieval thingys:

What harm could it possibly do floating around in there?

did exactly the same thing with the yellow "diesel" can------it's been in there a long time and no prob-does make me wonder if and when it might show up as a prob- but so far no prob

Although I haven't done that yet I was going to say what everyone else said, but you might contact the company that makes the gas can and see what they say.

Thanks to all for your comments. It is comforting to know that I am not the only one who has done this. I was looking at my wifes hand last night, I think it may just fit down in that hole. Anyhow, I think I'll let it get down real low and take a flashlight to see if I see it in there. Maybe then I can fish it out.

Thanks again !
