50 hr oil change

I did the 50 hr on my CK35 and had the same experience with both filters being almost welded on to the tractor. I am sort of glad to hear that it is somewhat common. I thought for a while that it must be a reverse thread on the hyd filter until I looked at the new one.

I had that thought as well, but figured it wasn't likely. When I got the filter off it only had 3 or 4 threads ??

I'm surprised no one has said anything about my head being between the wheel and the fel frame while the loader is holding the front end up. It didn't seem like such a bad idea at the time but looking at the picture....I did move the wheel so that it couldn't trap my head if the hydraulics released suddenly but still

Well, now that you ask, yeah, that was pretty dumb.:confused2:. 1) why not block it if you've raised it? and 2) why bother raising it. Real men just get on their backs and slide underneath while the tractor sits normally on the ground.:)

I was going to bench press it up but my girlfriend got worried I would break it. (smile). By that point I'd spent quite enough time on my back (trans filter)

I hated changing the oil filter on my CK20 as it was in a position that you basically could not get at easily either from above or below because of the position and FEL arms. I'm vague on the details but recall it was near impossible to get a good sized filter wrench into position to loosen the d... thing. The DK40 is no problem in that regard.

The engine filter also req'd the screw driver but was not as tight. I couldn't get anything else (that I had there) to fit in that area. I work on subs so i'm very used to having my hands half hidden while working around obstructions. I thought the trans filter would be the easy one because of it relatively easy access. HA.
I hope I don't have to go to a larger tractor. I like the mobility of the smaller size, I can fit between trees and the paths I make to get to things is relatively small. So far the ck20 is great.

So far the ck20 is great.

Absolutely no question in my mind that the CK20 is the best bang for the buck in it's class and possibly the best of all the Kioti tractors pound for pound. As much as I love my DK 40se, I wish I could have afforded to keep my CK when I needed a bigger one. Someday I'll probably go back to it.

I amazed at the amount of work I can get done in a day. Mind you, I'm used to shoveling, raking..etc so anything would be an improvement but the tractor exceeded my expectations. It won't be long before the majority of the "real" work is done and I start looking for other projects....until winter anyway.

I did my LB1914 last Saturday for the 3rd time. The weather was great and no bugs at all. The operation went smooth as one could expect except I nearly overflowed the oil catcher. Had to slowly drag it out the back after temporarily replacing the plug while the fluid was still gushing out. Then I slightly overfilled the empty 5 gallon can saved from the previous change. Drained at all 5 plugs. Very little fluid left when I removed the filter. That was the end of the easy part. Getting 6 gallons into the filler under the seat is a real pain literally as there is no comfortable position to pour from.
