Do the curved blades without teeth fit tightly between the toothed blade (suggesting they cut) or do they close together with a space between the alternating blades? If there is a space, I would suggest a tool used to pull something very slippery that you would want to protect one side of the material, like pulling a wet animal hide.

My friend was visiting and read the thread this AM. We both thought JJ's scissor answer plausible.
His daughter is the one with the item in his possession, so hopefully he'll get with her and get the numbers and share other answers. I believe she did confirm the blades are likely cutters, but no idea of spacing other than that shown in the pics.
I'll post whatever update he provides. (Unless I've also tempted him to join TBN himself):laughing:
