Nice... When you start your manufacturing conglomerate keep us 'little people' in mind... :)

Hi Chris, nice forks.

When clicking your link to your site, my antivirus goes nuts.

Here's a snap of what it said. Could be nothing.

Willl,
I run the latest Symantec/Nortons and Webroot with any issues on Chris' site.
Must be your PC.
regards,
Steve

(Quote) Ha ha, funny you should mention that. While picking up some supplies last week, my JD dealer parts guy asked what I was up to so I showed him some pictures on my phone. He said I should bring a set up for them to consider putting on their floor for sale. Wow. Who'da thunk? (End Quote)

Yeah, but he'll put a yellow decal on them and up the price to $1600 to allow for a proper profit margin. :)

Ensoll, you should think about patenting your design before JD gets its paws on it. You'll lose a manufacturing war, but if the patent means JD has to license the design to produce it...

Just remember my good ideas when you're a rich man. :)

Thanks VA. The problem with patents for something like this is they're easy to get around. I could only get a design patent (as opposed to a utility patent) since there are only so many ways of creating a mechanical design to connect a JD loader to a couple of pallet forks. Design patents are much more difficult to protect. Just change one little thing and viola! Plus, they are expensive to pursue. Then, they can be very expensive to (try to) protect.

At least this has been my experience with previous patent pursuits. The only realistic avenue for things like this is to simply make the best product you can so folks like yourself hopefully won't want to buy an el cheapo knockoff over a good quality product. Unfortunately, in this day and age, Walmart just seems to keep making their parking lots larger and larger with each new store opening...

These are just my jaded opinions. Perhaps someone with more/better experience in this area will disagree, about which I would be open to hearing.:)

SOLD!

J/k, thanks Picker. I'll take that as a very nice compliment.

It WAS a compliment! You have come up with the nicest, most practically designed pallet forks for CUTs I've seen, and I will definitely own a set one of these days just as soon as I can get the pocket change together. It's incredible to me that the big gun implement makers continue to grossly overbuild simple implements like pallet forks that end up weighing 400+ lb, and then promote them for use on CUTs with limited loader/lift capacity. My loader lift capacity is 1136 lb, and most of the commercially available pallet forks would easily eat up 1/3 or more of that before I ever picked up a load! Not to mention yours is prettier, more efficient in capacity to weight ratio, has better vision for the operator, and is built to fit one of the most popular quick attach setups of all time. Don't these people own AutoCAD and stress analysis software too?? But I guess it's cheaper for them to make a one-size-fits-all approach. Ya gotta just shake your head sometimes, though...

The design is tailored for the max load of the forks using CAD and stress analysis (even though anything using the 200X or 200CX loader can't even come close to the 2300 Lb max of these forks).

Are you marketing to the 300x loaders also? You have a nice set of forks for the homeowner!
