I have a 2007 DK55 and i use it to mow hay with an older 247 new holland mower. All is going great then all the sudden i smell HYD oil and the control valve has blown the o rings and is spraying fluid all over. This has happened several times, am i over working the Hydralics?? No sign of overheating on the tractor & plenty of power.

Is there any known cure for this problem?? Can a hyd cooler be installed?

Is this a valve on the mover or the tractor? what is the valve controlling? Can you be a little more descriptive of hoe everything is hooked up?

The control valve is on my tractor and controls the remotes to the back of the tractor. They are where you plug in your implements, after continued use if you pressurize the cylinder to long that is when you blow out the orings in the control valve

I by accident have hit mine in getting on or off and it steals a lot of hydraulic power when levered on. Also my service guy said he has seen them accidently pushed on/in and the pump gets red hot from it trying to pump through a blocked or non activational port..
I have a piece of black electrical tape on the fender perfectly in line with the lever IN NEUTRAL POSITION and at a glance I can see the lever is where it is supossed to be... Now not saying you had it pushed to or fro and activated but that was my fear when I had ran mine engaged for a few minutes and it was stealing all pressure and hot, way passed my comfort zone..

I havn't left mine engaed for long but only seems to be a problem after the tractor has run for a long period of time and is hot.
Seems like the hydralic resivior is to small for the tractor size, i would think you should be able to mow 10 acre field without a problem.

If you are pressurizing a cylinder and leaving it on without returning the valve to neutral you are deadheading your hydraulic system.
Return it to neutral after getting it into position.

I don't try to leave it in to long intentionally, maybe 15seconds and i understand it dead heads , but shouldn't the system bypass some pressure
instead of blowing the orings when hot .Maybe the tractor is just not big enough for what i want it to do.

Yes, the system should go into relief. The size of the tractor is irrelevant here, my the PRV (pressure relief valve) setting is-maybe you need to check the pressure of your system.

Is it just a DA (dual acting) cylinder on the mower?

Can the PRV be checked( If KIOTI has one) by my local dealer?Or Has anyone heard of putting a return line back to the reservior from the remote bank not in use?
Really enjoy the tractor but aggrivating when things don't work.

i also spoke with a local farmer that said the 10 gallon reservior just is not big enough to support long time use with a large piece of equiptment, causing fliud overheating and then oring fatigue.
