This weekend I made the journey down to Union City TN at abernathy's and came home with the honda. Its a 2011 Foreman manual without power steering. Had a question about the fan, is it safe to turn the ATV off when the fan is running??

I turn off my 2000 Honda Rancher, 2006 Polaris 800 EFI Sportsman, and 2007 Chevy pickup off with the fan running. Seems to hurt them not. You will like the Honda Foreman. My 2000 Honda Rancher, bought third hand, and horribly abused by the previous owners and my wife starts everyday, twice a day, 365 days a year. Winter or summer. She uses it to hay her horses year round. Of all motorized vehicles I have ever owned our Honda Rancher wins hands down.

Thanks for the info. I went with this one because of how the 300 has held up. I sank that one in 6feet of water, and after a few oil changes, its still going strong. I hope they keep making these without all the gadgets!!

Our Rancher is true blue. A well proven workhorse on our farm. Our Polaris Sportsman is a very good ATV also. But it's got a long row to hoe to live up to our Honda Rancher.

what you can do is turn off the 4wheeler and then turn the key to the "on" position but don't start it. the fan will continue to run and shutoff when it cools down. i've done this on the 2 air cooled atv's i had, and now my 420 Rancher thats liquid cooled and never had a problem.

Derekuk,

Where are you at in KY. I'm near Paducah.

The tires are not stock. I was able to get the rim and tires for $700 and kept the other rims and tires. I knew I wanted to get rid of the stock tires and felt that was a decent deal for the tires and rims. I'm just west of Louisville in Hardinsburg.
