Cab-Enclosure for Tractors

....anyone here have one or have knowledge of them? I am more than likely getting one for winter use. Just wondering about a few things like quality and how well they hold up.

I think its a great way to stay warm while plowing.

thanks in advance....

Tom59,

I just spoke with Matt Wiedmann and placed an order for an enclosure and canopy. He is the wholesaler and the order is placed and paid for thru either one of his dealers in your area or, if you want, a dealer that you specify. He'll coordinate it with the dealer and the dealer will then call you. I specified my local Kioti Dealer but if for some reason he doesn't want to handle it, Matt will use one of his dealers. Give him a call, he was very helpful in answering all my questions.

I expect this to work fine as this enclosure is very similar in material and style that I have on my Mule.

BTW- I just recently traded up to this tractor but I'm sure it will work much better than the makeshift cover I used for the past 4 years on my old smaller one. I attached a piece of plywood to the ROPS with the front supported by metal conduit. then I draped a golf cart canopy over that. Wasn't pretty, but it kept me dry.

I've spoken to him already. He is having the guy that makes them fit one for my machine specifically with my canopy which is smaller than his. I was more interested in the quality of them up close and personal.

I am getting one once he gets back to me. I was hoping someone had one for reference. I plow about ten driveways here and would love to get out of the crap and cold. My canopy helps some , but in out of the weather would be even better. ;)

thanks..... lmk when you get it on.....

Hi,

Which TYM tractor are looking for cab as TYM may soon have it available?

T273..... TYM a soft or hard enclosure , I much prefer soft because it will be on and off summer-winter months. I don't think TYM can match or touch 900.00 either. Especially with dealer markups.

If it were a large machine a hard enclosure works fine seeing you can A/C 'em. Not so much with a small model.

TYM Has a new Cab for the T233HST, T273HST and the T293HST and it will be available by early January 2010. The new cab is designed to fit most older models. Photos of the new cab will be on the TYM web site soon.

That looks like the T433 model and not the T2xx series. That doesnt mean it won't look similar, I guess..

Maybe TYM just contracted Sims to build this cab?

Sims Cab Depot - Tractor Cabs and Cab Enclosures - Yukon Cab - TYM T233, T273

Hope not , to much coin , plus I already have a canopy. The soft enclosure is around 900.00. - 1000.00 shipped. Also easy to take off for summer. If they think people will pay another 23-2500.00 they will be disappointed.

I wouldn't unless I used it yr round and it had A/C. I use mine a ton less over the winter months. Just snow removal ....

On a smaller tractor the soft enclosure makes sense. Big farm machines used yr round and have heat and A/C fine.

Just took a look at the TYM site again and on the main homepage the flash animation shows the picture of the K2 T2xx series cab on a T293. I think it looks pretty slick.

Can't find any other pictures beside the flash animation.

Definitely. Looks like a cab on a 293. Very slick, but perhaps not for the claustrophobic? I'm a pretty average-sized guy at 5'10", 170lb and I find it difficult to mount the platform from right side (loader joystick side). Can't imagine there's very much room inside . . . . :)

Cool nonetheless!

Does this cab offering dethrone the Kubota B3030 as being the smallest hp tractor to have a factory cab?

/ Cab enclosures #18
I would think so being the photo is of the T233 which is 23 hp and the Kubota is 30hp. It looks like a nice unit.

My best guess is about 2300-2500.00. I know similar ones are about that +/- ......

Not sure I want a hard enclosure .... I love the setup also wondering how hard it is to take off for summer. I'll contact my dealer although he seems to be last to know anything.
Soft enclosures are much less money. Half......or less depending on whether you have the canopy already.

sweet looking.....for sure.....
