Kioti CK35
I hit 48 hours on the CK today and I have to move out by Tuesday so today was the day to do the service.

We drained the engine oil, changed the filter and filled her back up. No problem so far.

Then we moved to the hydraulics.

I pulled both the left and right drain plugs and got about 10 liters of fluids out. I then moved on to the filters and changed both, agaiin, no problem. I then pull out then center plug and saw a surprise!:(

Somehow I do not think this little pin was supposed to come out with the oil.

Does anyone know where this little thing came from?

Simon

You're lucky. Kioti gave you spare parts. Just kidding. The pin looks like it has a hole in the end for a cotter key or some type of keeper. I hope it's just something they just dropped during assembly figuring that it wouldn't hurt anything laying in the sump. I think one of the dealers will have to help you if it's a part from the inside. Not many of us have seen the internals. I wonder if it even belongs on the inside somewhere. The pin looks like it has zinc chromate plating which is mainly used to deter rust. If that pin was needed to connect something, I would think you'd have some kind of trouble or malfunction with the tractor being that the pin is completely gone from its position.

Yeah, spare part

It does look like a pin which would be used on a linkage somewhere and it is plated which is unusual for a part that came out of the transmission.

I do have the mid PTO option installed. I wonder if it could have been dropped in the mid PTO pan during install.

There are a few scratches on the pin but no indication that it was floating around the transmission around moving parts for 50 hours.

I might drop the mid PTO in the morning and see if there is anything obvious missing in there.

Bit of a surprise  to see that come out of your transmission. Be interesting to find out how it got there, agree with other's it's probably not part of the transmission, we hope.

It looks like its from a mechanical linkage. What would have internal linkages back there? Something you might not notice not working, differential lock maybe??? Hopefully someone will chime in soon with a definitive answer for you.

That looks like the pin that fell off the brake actuating rod on my CK35!

How did it get in your transmission?

Does anyone have a service manual with an exploded view of the HST transmission?
