Very nice!
Hopefully it doesn't stay just a concept but I'm not a huge fan of the torsion bar independent front suspension vs. a solid front axle. I'm also not surprised they took the idea of storage compartments in the bed rails like the RAM. In 2008, there was a Power Wagon diesel concept but the winch made it difficult to mount the turbo intercooler so I wonder if they'll bring it to production now.

Ive been eyeing a new Power Wagon.... 400hp, a high winding small block, and 4:56 gears and some lockers.... sounds like lots of fun..

The worst thing is if GM makes it most of them will never go off road (same with the Raptor). Most will buy them because they look cool, can anyone say Hummer, and drive them back and forth to the office.

Nice thing is it'll do some off roading AND be a serious tow vehicle. The Ford is a joke for towing or work. The Dodge is nice, maybe a little better off roader, but it ain't no DMAX/Ally. I think this truck wraps it all up in one package. With proper armoring & outfitting, it might make a nice military rig.

This is not directed at Builder, but he does make some points...

This would be a reasonable truck to do a little off road and towing too. And, it is a nice package.

The Dodge a little better off-roader? Lots better... Narrower. Straight axle(can you say articulation and suspension travel?) Would be nice with a diesel though.

The largest percentage of real off road rigs I see have sticks. Much more control.

First, Off-Road is soooo relative. Say off-road, and I think Rubicon. None of the three truck would make it past the first squeeze rocks. The GM struts it's wide stance; good way to get wedged between rocks or trees.

All three trucks in the article were crew-cabs. Really? How you gonna run trails with a long ole crewcab? Can you say 20 point turns to maneuver? If you're going to make it long, dump the big cab and make it a long bed. Nothing like making a million tiny trips to cut firewood with a 5' bed...

The other thing is, who's gonna off-road their $50,000 truck and scratch and ding it up. Lose the frills for an off-road truck.

By saying an off-road truck, is too general.

Besides, if you want an all around off-road vehicle, it will saw Jeep on it, and have something like CJ, or TJ, or Rubicon in the model :D

IMHBEO-RO :D

(In My Humble But Experienced Off-Roader Opinion)
