You guys actually think it was a trial run for terrorists? In an airplane? Equipped to disperse some chemical or nerve agent? And it only affected starlings and redwing blackbirds? And the terrorists just happened to know where those birds were roosting? In two different states?
Last time I checked this happened on January 1st, not April 1st!

Aircraft fuel dump.... Aircraft at times-- weather or not have to dump fuel in route-air- to lighten there load to land saftely...

OK you mean like hitting the ground from a freefall of several hundred feet ?
If the birds hit something physically large enough to cause blunt force trauma...where/what is it ? or is it gravity defying?
I think a key point is the birds do not normally fly at night other than that is mostly speculation by the public...
I would be more inclined to look for military/research bases in the area(s) than I would be terrorist activity of this nature...(poisoning a water source would be a different story)
I think fireworks could have caused something like this but I think that they (the birds) would have been seen by those watching the fireworks?
...a mortar going off could easily spook thousands of roosting birds...then other mortars exploding within the swarms of spooked birds could knock them out and to the ground? ...but then if it was this simple to explain it would have happened before?
if it was something in the atmosphere...why did the birds leave the roost?

Or someone in this country needed to send a message...
Remember the missile off the California coast this past summer, they had no explanation for that one either.
