Question about shelf life for gasoline

So what do you use in the tractors?

Diesel, from the gas station. Around October they start carrying the winter blend. A little PS & your good to go.
The HHO delivery service I use has been in business forever-and recommends kerosene for my situation. No other delivery service will"guarantee" a blend will not give me problems. I live on a windy hill, temps at times have dropped to -10 degrees F. So yes, kerosene it is...:thumbsup:

I'd say it'd last about a year. But may want to keep stabilizer in it if you going to keep it that long.

If it works in the tractor tank it would work in the house tank.

If you know an engine will be unused for several months or more it's a good idea to shut the gas valve off and let the engine run itself out of fuel.
I agree with DEWFPO old (1 yr) gas will still run an engine fine in most cases even untreated.

Tractor is parked in the garage-5 gallon fuel tank. -10 degrees, I put the block heater on it and fire up the propane torpedo heater for awhile. (Not sure if thats for my benefit or the tractors) Dont even have to think about gelled fuel (again-5 gallons-PS added).
240 gallon tank sitting outside, -10 degrees. Windy ( bothers me, probably not the tank).Should HO mix gel (which educated people tell me will happen) dont think I'll fix it with a block heater & torpedo heater (Wind would blow the heat away:laughing. Think on a grander scale than a small treated tank in a controlled environment.
