Well that was the price of that machine 6 months ago the list price on John Deere website was $8,995,99 and the I bought a 48 inch blade 54 inch mower deck and after that I bought a 44 inch snow blower which in attachments the price was $1,500 so I bought the whole setup for 10'495.99

You'll have a tough time coming out clean on a trade in. Sell it on eBay or Craigs List, then take the money and buy what you want. You'll be several hundred ahead doing this, as others have said.

DO NOT sell as a package. Even though it is a pain in the rear, sell each attachment separately. Also, you might want to check to see if some of the attachments are suitable for your new tractor.

I checked my attachments and the only one that will fit on my new machine which is a John Deere X728 is my triple bagger and my deck and blower won't because the new tractor is shaft driven not belt.

However or whenever you sell/trade, do yourself a favor and get the X748 instead of the X728. The diesel engine is worth the difference. I have a 455 that is a beast. I've moved amazing piles of snow the last couple days.

Well I have a new holland tc45da who is a animal in snow and it's a diesel so I was looking at the x728 for sidewalks it's shaft driven and I really won't be beating krap out of it like some people would just saying. But yes I could agree that the x748 is stronger but its all about the price to ifmi can get a good deal on the trade of my X520 and only have to pay 4,000 dollars out of pocket then I will get the diesel but if it's cheaper I will get the x728 it's hard to decide. Need some more help on deciding.

Trust Me it listed for $8,995.99 then a week after I bought Him the price of him went down to $6,000. If I can find it I will post it up on the forum.

Either way, you aren't going to get a $7000 trade...or probably even selling it yourself.
For a trade, my estimate would be about $4000 or a bit more. Depends on how well you can dicker.

So, either take the hit or keep what you have for a few years.

I got mine listed here, not one inquiry.
