i have the 16spd bench top model, probably very similar to the one in question. so far, it works excellent. the motor is very strong, everything is fairly "tight", etc. i;m kinda impressed
I have been looking for a small compressor to take in the horse trailer. Got a coupon from Harbor Freight for a little pancake unit for only $40! Seems to be built OK.
So far it seems to work just fine.
They had an air tool kit for sale for $7. Air hose, tire chuck, Q.D. fittings, blow gun, needle inflater and some spare pipe fittings. It is real crap, probably worth less then $7!!!!
The air chuck was not machined correctly so NO air could go thru it and the Q.D. fittings don't mate very well and have a pinch point that is hard to avoid.
Anyway, so far I guess I got my moneys worth.
The real cheap ones--$7-$10 work, but you have to take all the pressure off the item being pumped up.
For example, you could maybe get 20-25 PSI of air in a tire if you first jacked up the vehicle to make it so the tire is fully off the ground.
Sorry, but that's the way it works.
No, the air chuck didn't have a hole machined thru the body to connect the pipe threads on the input to the cavity on the chuck end.
I had to drill a small hole to connect the two areas. Not a big deal, but still kind of slipshod.
I guess it is the AUTO shut off feature on what I thought was a fully manual charger is the thing bugging me. It may just because it is a sick battery that is showing high enought voltage so it green lights it and shut off when it is only a surface charge. Will test on a good battery later.
I opened the case and the circuit board has the logic in it so there is no way I could see to make it funtion as a manual charger.
On a quick retest on a battery reading 12.56 volts setting at rest for a week it went to max charge rate for a few minutes then it shut off turning on a green light.
Then I put it on the 2 amp trickle setting and it seems the auto shut off feather does not apply to that setting and the output was at 14.02 volts when I removed that charger from that battery.
I moved it to another matching battery at 12.56 also and per the meter on the 2 amp trickle setting it peaked at 7 amps of charging but after about 20 minutes it has tapered to 4 amp readout per the charger's amp meter.
I will try to find/create a 50% charged battery and test to see if volt and SG wise it will fully charge it to 100% before it shuts off. The reason I got this was to have a manual charger to use when the new computerized chargers will not touch a battery in a poor state of charge.
Later I will do a tread on the success or lack there of on reversing the labelled polarity of batteries.
Check with Dargo- I think that is the one he special ordered
