I have one, but it runs on diesel, which I can't afford. :(

I guess you have to look around for prices. I don't know if prices are set locally or by the oil vendor.

I filled my diesel RAM at Mobil the other day. I only drive the truck when I need to. I prefer my car anyway cause it's no so dang big.

All these stations within 10 miles.

Mobil 3.49

Phillips 3.79

Shell 3.95

I don't care WHAT the other countries are paying (due to their GREEN ideas) and I want to jack slap the next person who compares it to the price of milk. I don't buy milk 25 gallons at a time, nor to I need milk to do my daily chores. That is one of the stupidest analogies mankind has ever come up with.
I agree that you don't buy milk in 25 Gal. amounts. But was in Iowa and Wisconsin last week. There is dairys closing and cattle auctions planned everywhere. Cattle feed has gone up 2500.00 a load since last year. so you don't buy cheese, butter, milk products, soon and very soon the use of dairy products is going to be very expensive. The cost of shipping from China is expensive.
No dairys no need for hay, feed stock, tractors and farm equipment. Time to stand up and look around. The ground hole were living in soon going to smell.

very well put.everything is all tied togather i dont care what people says.an yes the gov is trying to bankrupt the people by allowing fuel an other prices to go sky high.but the sad truth is we take care of other countries an slitt our own throats.when we put the capped wells back online the oil price will bottom out.

I guess I would rather pay $4.00 for fuel and be able to get it then the rationing we had in the '70s. Even and odd days, ten dollar limit ,gas lines, the good old days!

Wish they would suspend the Ultra low sulfer requirement till this blows over. Have a pump for the older diesels , that would lighten up the demand for the light sweet crude needed for ulsd . Less demand for ulsd and the price should come down.

Switching back to old diesel will not make a difference. The equipment for production of ULSD is already built in every refinery I know off (we sell them certain control system for it). That is the cost that has to be amortised.

Bigbull Think you are old enough to remember the depression of the last late 20's into the 30's What caused it was greed of wall street everybody investing in the stock market and bankers looking at the dollar of profit they could get for the farm. loan a farmer ($1000 in real dollars) for a note that would take the entire wealth of person applying including land ,livestock, vehicles and personal goods if 1 day late on note. The auction was swift and you were on the road with empty pockets.
All backed by the Gov.
And where the city workers go when money food and no where to go. Back home to the farm if it were still there.

Dairies closed in my area many years ago and now most farmers have no livestock of any type. We use to raise cattle, but fluctuations in the markets made profits hit or miss. About the only animals raised around here are large chicken operations.

Real farmers are being replaced by tractor drivers, just another job instead of a way of life.

Well if the so called FREEDOM protests start in Saudi Arabia you may well be right.

Just today the Saudi Clerical Council banned public protest, so that means there is dissent boiling under the surface and on the internet.

Poor people of that region, flashing peace signs to the western media, Anderson Cooper in a permanent state of euphoria (makes me want to vomit, wish there was a vomit emoticon). The last thing in the world those people are going to have is peace and freedom when a certain radicalized group starts to take over.

I fear we are heading into a whole new world to quickly and it may not be in our best interest to have so much freedom in North africa and the Middle East.
So yeah, $4.00 a gallon fuel could be something we pray for in the future :(
