I did not mind the open cab on my old L4330HST in the summer,But I needed to get some heat for the winter time. I think this is a good solution but I might still miss the open platform in the summer?

Some people do prefer an open station tractor in the summer. When I was much younger, I had no interest in a cab though I often used one. I was just as happy on the MF375 as the Case CX80.

Now if I miss open station, I can just go poke a hornets nest, throw hand-fulls of dirt, grass/weed clippings in my face and lie on the hood of my truck with the engine running.

Boris1 Congrats. The Grand Ls are fine machines.

Triple R that was one of the funniest posts I've seen in a while. After moving from an open frame the only experience you missed is soaking yourself with water and having someone else throw snow in your face.

Sorry; kinda hard to concentrate with all the bee stings, sneezing and we won't even go into the rash from that hood.

I had hit some bees last year but they just hung around the hole and never pursued me which was good because I did not notice them at first.

I for one, am jealous. Beautiful machine. Hope it does what you need it to do for decades!
Did you get a good price? (I always got to ask...:D)

I think so, It would have been better if I could have swung a cash deal, But it wasn't to be. I had been negotiating with three dealers for a few months and finally got a price I could live with - It came with front & rear work lights, Rear and side defoggers, rear wiper, 3rdfunction , 2 rear remotes, Heavy duty bucket w/replaceable cutting edge & R4's filled (getting my own radio) for 40K - Prices were about to spike so I felt it was time. I am happy with it -

The guys that rent our row crop land also keep three of our pond levies mowed and got into some bees last year and were stung pretty badly. They came back in a couple of days with a cab tractor.

They are now mowing them with ZTR's, but mow every couple of weeks or so to keep everything from having time to set up shop.

Beautiful, Matt. As a Kubota owner who sits out in the wet, blowing snow, I crave a heated cab, but can't otherwise justify it. My old B8200 works fine for my needs, except for that wet cold seat. I'd like to hear which three dealers you worked with... where I live above Baltimore, tractor dealers are pretty scarce. There's a JD dealer, and some lawn equipment guys, but not much in the way of tractors, unless you go for a drive. I think it's okay to name names here??

This alone is worth every dime of the cab. I hit a hive in the ground last year and I was in an enclosed CAT 950G and they attacked the cab. It was like a solar eclipse, the inside of the cab went dark from all the bees attacking the windows. If I was in an open cab that day I would be dead, no doubt.

Don't even get be started on almost losing en eye doing brush clearing in an open cab, or so much dust I could't breathe.

That next day I put my open cab Kubota up for sale and got a closed cab.
