We havent had any rain worth mentioning since Sept of last year. Its dry here! Our rabbits even carry water jugs. The 'wheat state' isnt much of a wheat state in western parts.

Crazy thought here but can any of the water from the mississippi be diverted to the draught vulnerable areas? we did build the panama canal.

Another cloudy dreary day here, and at least seven more in the forcast

Well at least we're maintaining a sense of humor. I'm in mid Maine and presently it is pouring. We have a new JD X320 mowing machine that is chomping at the bit to be let out. No way can I take my 3038 out of the barn. It will sink.
Seat time is limited to inside the barn. Gets old.

Well the sun actually came out today for a little !

Now it's getting hot and humid, I guess we would complain about any weather

Also, they are saying it will be a bumper crop of skeeters, wonderful!!!

It's definitely one of the wettest Springs I can remember!!
However, after a 7 year drought in PA (2003-2009/2010), I'm fine with this rain!

You sound like us here in western Wyoming. Snowing a little here tonight. We haven't had much rain, but the snow melt off the mountains is drowning some homes along the river. I went and planted the fields and now we're getting snow. I need to spray the weeds that are popping up, but the snow will defeat that...

Springtime in the Rockies!!

Well, I'm about between you two, north-to-south, but some east of both, along the Front Range... Our house is at the base of a foothill west of Loveland CO. The foothills are ancient uplifted seabeds (sandstone). So when we get rain like this, it drains down all the fissures inside the hills and we get rivulets all over the property and the drainpipes around the house pour for days after. It's really quite pretty, though it does a number on the driveway.

I'm giving thanks that our wellwater supply will be replenished, and also the seasonal frog pond about 1/3 mile into our property should be filled now for the first time since last Spring (wild, natural pond). We're going to hike over the butte to see it this weekend. Hope to hear some peepers!
