I'm always curious to see other people's shop buildings. I'm a fan of a nicely laid out, well let, clean, and functional shop building, machine shed, etc.

My newly acquired tractor is sharing room with hay storage at the moment, until we can afford to build a proper home for it.

I'd like to see other people's shop buildings, post some pics. Tell me what you'd do different and what you like in particular about how your building was constructed or laid out... Thanks in advance!

grsthegreat, those buildings look immaculate!

Don't mistake clean for no evidence of work. I fully expect a shop building to be used, but I like it cleaned up and organized when a project is complete. :)

Since I had to move back to town, I do miss the 40' x 60' shop building I had. It was there when I bought the place, and I liked it, although I would have preferred insulation and if I'd been doing it, the lights would have been different.

the little workshop out back (40' container)

Then there's the shop that my Dad built. Now owned by my brother since Dad passed on, which makes it the family shop since I'm the one with the majority of the wrenching ability and more of my projects inside! 40 by 64 --front 1/3 walled off with concrete floor and ceiling closed in for a workshop / garage. The rest is gravel floor storage.
Taken during one of my projects:

Duane -
Here's my shop 24x30, I built it BT (before tractor). If I had to do it all over I would have put two smaller roll up doors on the front so I could put the tractor inside, not outside under a tarp. I am thinking about adding a lean to or overhang on the right side to put the tractor under. I am going to wait another year or so as the outside 4 feet where the posts would go is back fill and deeper than the frost line up here. I think I want to let it firm up a little longer.

Live and learn someone once said:)

Great looking workspace! Looks like enough room for a tractor, just get that truck out of the way! ;)
