1 acre & snow removal.. which to choose?

Ok, I sold my bx1830 with mower & blower. I now am in need of something for my new digs. I'll have 1+ acre of flat lawn and ~125ft of driveway to take care of. I have a couple of thoughts on things:

1. get a "cheaper" mower, maybe a box store ztr and an atv w/ plow

2. bx which I know all about and do love them
I can't decide between a blower or bucket if I go this route.

3. jd x7xxx

Any thoughts on any of the above choices? The jd seems way overpriced compared to the bx?
You should have kept the BX1830.

I have a BX24 and using the load for snow removal just sucks. Slow going. I'm looking to step up to a blower this year. I just went with a RCK60B-23BX MMM and a GCK60-23BX bagger and love it. Better than my Husqvarna mower. I would go with the BX again. Just my .02 cents

I have a 700 cc Suzuki ATV that plows a lot of snow with no problems. Problem with a plow is that if you have a lot of snow and it doesn't melt between snows then you have to have a place to put it. With a snowblower you can throw it a long distance. If you can buy a blade for an ATV and a ztr. You can also buy a blower for an ATV. I went think about what else you can use the atv or tractor during the rest of the year and let that make your decision.

I'm in Maine. So, we get quite a bit.

Ahhh, me too. I have a read blade for my B7610 and wish I had a blower. Hoping to pick one up this summer.

Yes, I probably should have.. OTOH, I can grab a used one for the same money that I sold mine for. So, in the long run it's not that big of deal.

Also, the Orange's 0% financing is pretty enticing as well.

BX1860/54MMM/loader/Rear mount snowblower. Should buy it for little more than a cheap lawn tractor that will need replacing every few years and an ATV. I have a BX and would never give it up.

First, you "buy" the implements you want to run and then you choose the tool you want to power them. For example leaf, and grass collection are a big deal with me since my "yard" is somewhat over 3 acres. I also have some mobility issues so taking the collection system off, and putting it on is a big deal too. Out of your choices that would lead me to the JD X7xx. If loader work is in the picture then the BX is the ticket, and so on. Now if Kubota would make an easy to mount, and maintain collection system, I would have one sitting in my garage now even though I also have the slightly larger B2620. Had I thought I might not ever mow with my B, I might have gone with a larger tractor there.,

If you buy the BX1860-2360-2660 you can purchase an Allied Farm King snow caster from Ken Sweet or a Pronovost Puma or Group One rear mount snow
caster and have the loader to move any snow piles where the
blower cannot be used in close spaces and entries and then use
the blower to get rid of the snow you had to scoop and dump it
where you could set it aside to blow away later.

Edit: as you livre near Portland and the coast you needc a snow blower and a loader if desired as a plow will be dealing with snoiw that ill be wieghing in at 21 pounds per cubic footr or more after snow melt periods.
Once the snow blower gets rid of it you never have to handle it again.

The other advantage is simplicity as it leaves no snow banks liked plow would and it will remove the banks the snow plows leave behind.
