Tractor
MF135
Im new to the site and also to the tractor that Im trying to fix back up. I inherited a tractor and also some farm land, its all still very new to me. My question is that I need help on naming the parts of the stuff that was on the tractor. Some people decided that it was take what you want off of it, so now Im missing parts.

Im going to add a picture to show you what Im trying to figure what its called?
This is a photo I got of the internet. But what is the part in the middle called? The one that is slanted upward.

Any help would be appreciated, thank you
Cheryl

Please tell us the make and model of the tractor. and approximate year.

I have never seen anything like that on a tractor before.
The only thing I can think of is maybe some part of an old 2 point hitch from
some antique tractor? I am clueless. I would like to help you, but need a lot more info. In general I would call the piece you referenced a "top link" maybe?..something that fastens on to a rockshaft arm maybe? I cannot figure out the lower right hand apparatus at all. Sorry I am not more help. but by answering your post, it will "bump" it up so that others may see it that know more.

That is some form of non-standard or "pick-up hitch" for an older MF tractor. Not exactly what I'd call a pick-up hitch today, but, that was what they were called and not sure exactly how it's supposed to work either.

@Cheryl, do you need that exact part you mention for that same exact set-up or ? Does your tractor have all of those identical pieces minus this very one? The part you cite appears to be intended to attached the upper 3-pt link (also called the "top link".) Do you need it or just the adjustable top link for attaching common 3-pt mounted implements?

It looks like they took the piece that I mentioned and stuck it on the right side. Like I said they just took things off of it and trying to get it back to the way it was. A couple of years ago it was running ( I saw my uncle using it) but since then it has been sitting there and weathering and people have been taking items off. ( since then my uncle has gotten ill and I really dont want to bother him about questions like this)
Now its our job to get it cleaned and back to top shape. My hubby has taken the gas tank out (to be cleaned out) and has order some things for the tractor.
Im trying to find a manual with pictures on it, for how its suppose to look like. Trying to help my husband out with things like that. Im sure some of the items that Im looking for I dont need right now., but I know the back end doesnt look right at all. So any help is appreciated. Thanks

photo of the actual tractor would help... You are looking for the thing in the middle, adjustable top link is most likely the part. Not shown in the middle of the photo below but attaches where the yellow circle is drawn? :ashamed:

Post pics of all the questionable parts.

Make sure hubby replaces all fluid, and filters.
Clean any and all screens.

Does it run?

Yes!! that is what Im missing the attachment part. Thank you for showing me a picture and circling the part!
We have the knuckle part (yoke which I call them) that goes to the hydraulic ram.
Im looking for the adjustable or pick up hitch, to lower the two bottom plow thats on it, and other attachment that goes on it.
Is there a web site that could show me the cost/purchase the item?
Thank you again, you were all a great help!

"It looks like they took the piece that I mentioned and stuck it on the right side...."

Cheryl, that sounds like the lift adjustment arm which most likely would be on the right side (from the rear) of the tractor. It should be there, it's used to angle the implement mounted vertically on each side.

Look at the pic of the little MF above again. That is the way I believe your tractor should look.....that is just a regular 3-pt set up. Two lift arms, one on each side that attach to the sides of the implement, and then a top link which attaches to the top mount of the attachment.

The more you describe, the more it sounds like you're looking for just the top-link arm. If so, they are a dime a dozen and you can get them from any dealership (any brand) or the local Tractor Supply/Farm and Fleet, etc:
