SNAKES ALIVE. Can you ID these snakes?

They werent near water were they? Ill agree corn snake, but very similar to a northeastern water snake as well. All friendly. Felt bad I had to shoot one the other day. Took 3 out of my 2000 gallon koi pond already but this guy was to sneaky to catch and had a healthy appetite.

That looks like a banded water snake to me. He's a good guy!

Put your cursor over the pic you want then right click the mouse, then click save image as, then choose where you want to save it on your computer, desktop is easy to find it on. :thumbsup:

redbug's right, they are common brown water snakes. How close to water did you find them?

The northern water snakes we see here (SW Ohio) rarely exceed 24-30" and come in two flavors...mean, and pure evil. Never yet ran across one that didn't attack once I was within, oh, perhaps a mile .....ok, maybe more like 10', but they have always been hyper-aggressive IME.
