Bird,
I was right beside a tire that let go once, that will sure get your attention at 70mph.

I can understand how that would almost be enough to give a feller a heart attack.

I had a semi truck in front of me one time coming in from Louisiana that blew a rear trailer tire, I was maybe 60 yards behind him. As I was calling to him on the CB, a large piece came off and cracked my windshield. His CB was off, but when the big chunk came off he knew it str8 away!

When I got up this morning, I had d-e-w on my grass. Yep! It was real dew and I looked at my thermometer and it said, "---.-" which in the Thermomics language means "Change the batteries, stupid!" Of course, I'm dumb enough to follow instructions from a thermometer :confused2: so I changed the batteries and now it says, "98.2 F.) Sigh. . . why didn't I just leave it like it was?:(

How cool does it have to get before you start working on your pond near the house again?
The new "Bing" map shows a very clear view of your place. Are the buildings and equipment along the right side of your driveway on your property too?

We always say around here, "if you want wind and rain get on a ladder or just paint something outside."
We went out to pick some more bag bugs off the blue spruce up high on a ladder and within minutes the wind started howling and it is now raining.
Maybe you should give it a try in Texas.....

Wow! That Bing photo must have been taken just a couple of months ago. I can even see where I tilled around the outside of my garden. Of course, all my junk also shows up too. :ashamed:

At least I don't see any dirty underwear on the clothesline...

I guess that is an affirmative about you owning that area then. What is the shape near the back; looks like a couple little ponds?
Nothing to be ashamed of.. "the only difference between a man and a boy, is the price of his toys." I keep everything, even broken. What the wife calls junk, I call spare parts.

Jim, I kinda like the 1st reading better:laughing: We are also close to the century mark again, this time with a little more humidity. I suppose this is normal for "now", but that couple of cooler day's sure makes you want Fall.

I used the old method to call for rain. I ran both vehicles through the car wash day before yesterday. So we got the wife's car dirty driving in the rain and on wet roads, so it got washed again today.
