There are thousands upon thousands of UNBIASED studies done every day in well funded universities across the country. NONE....NOT ONE....ZERO.....can find ANY reason to think GMO's have health risk involved. FDA isn't continuing to waste resources to go on a tree hugger inspired witch hunt quite simply because there is no need to. I CAN say gmo's pose no health issues because I've been able to OBJECTIVELY view many, even be a part of several of those university studies.

And for the record, anger related stress issues WILL cause health issues. They obviously pose more of a risk to your health than all the gmo's in the universe.

Maybe THREE layers of tin foil...?????
That is the crux of the entire debate, the FDA ceased any long term testing over 22 years ago due to the executive order. Why you can't wrap your head around that is beyond me.

I heard a story on the radio a while back about GMO wheat. The person on the radio said that GMO wheat, when baked into bread, is no longer a fiber.

He said it changes to a starch or something, and the type of starch it turns into actually causes fat to be stored in the human body.

Is it true? I dunno, but what I can say, is that Ive seen people gaining weight while eating wheat bread.

Is there a connection, dunno.

The only thing I know for sure is that the executive order has stopped the FDA from testing and tracking these types of things for over 22 years now.

I'm gonna pass this post off as simply too easy.....lol!

Wheat bread is a great source of carbohydrates......Body turn's 'em into sugar......ANY wheat bread, gmo wheat or not, will net the same results.....There's your connection.

As was in my earlier post, FDA isn't going forward with a tree hugger inspired witch hunt BECAUSE THEY DON'T NEED TO. No evidence from THOUSANDS of independent university studies to give anyone cause to suspect gmo's of causing health issues...just more disinformation via special interest groups seeking to make money by bashing gmo's.

Your one man crusade has lost it's way.....I'm basing MY argument on science, where yours is based on innuendo, rumors, disinformation and sensationalism.

Actually you aren't argueing with me, you are argueing with youself.

I've laid out facts, and I've laid out conjecture. You are concentrating on the conjecture, while saying the facts are wrong.

Fact is, an elected official stopped all testing of a foodstuff by the FDA, which is what is fueling the debate.

It's not my debate, as I said, I'm a consumer. I'm eating what you are producing. Is it bad for me, i dunno The FDA stopped testing.

Is it good for me, some say it isn't........some say it is. But the FDA stopped testing due to a politician.

I've yet to see ONE legitimate "fact" not misquoted , misrepresented or purposely posted out of context in your text or your links. ALL of your "evidence" has been pure conjecture, without basis, and without any legitimacy. NONE of what I've had to say is conjecture. I've avoided ANY of your parade "what if's" staying with KNOWN FACTS that have been proven time after time by reputable independent labs. What is "fueling this debate" is your inability to look beyond what bad information you've gleaned from special interest websites, ect. The FDA stopped testing because it is a waste of their time.....I'm home alone today (wife visiting her mother) and have PLENTY of time to waste. Then again, I'm not the FDA....

And something tells me even if the FDA WAS in the hysteria mongering business, you wouldn't believe their findings unless they were in concert with your tree hugger inclinations.

The fact that you went "dead in the water" based exclusively upon the FDA NOT continuing to waste time and promote public hysteria, RATHER THAN research the FACT that NO CREDIBLE INDEPENDENT TESTING has EVER produced one shred of evidence that GMO's pose a public health risk tells me you aren't open to facts, just closed mindedly marching off the cliff, following the lemming in front of you.

The FDA stopped testing GMO foods because of the Executive order from George Herbert Walker Bush.
That my good man is an indisputable fact that you can look up yourself.
It is duly recorded in the National Archives in Washington DC.

And as I said, that is what is fueling the debate.

And you have yet to put any facts out there, I've heard terms such as 'thousands of universities'. And as I said, your thoughts on the subject need to be taken with a grain of salt, because you have monetary gain in the situation. You know, the same monetary gain that you are accusing others of.

Again, google Lemming.....

Your "fact" isn't "fueling the debate...... That's your INABILITY to see beyond your preconceived notions. Your "fact" has NOTHING to do with safety or lack thereof regarding use of GMO's... It has to do with a government agency being instructed NOT to continue hysteria mongering and wasting resources on an issue that is not really an issue outside of a few special interest groups that make their living creating public hysteria via lemmings and tree huggers.....

Your one man crusade just died ANOTHER death..... Shall I kill it again?

Nutritionally I can't fathom how GMO food would be a problem unless it contained things that were "not naturally found" on this earth. Our bodies (and the planet's flaura and fauna) evolved in the presence of the elements that are already here so "splicing" them together still is using the same elements and our bodies should recognize them and know how to deal with them (as should nature).

It's true that I am a bit skeptical of dietary ingredients that are out of balance with each other or not in the presence of the co-ingredients that our bodies are used to seeing (ie: vitamin c from fruit vs vitamin c made in a factory) but from a scientific point of view vitamin c is vitamin c so there really isn't an argument. To me though, somehow it seems right that my body would recognize the fruit and absorb the vitamin c alongside the other bits of the fruit more efficiently than vitamin c in a capsule ingested without the presence of the other bits of the fruit. Maybe just emotion though...

The reason I said I don't like monstanto is simply that I worry about losing biodiversity if the man made plants or animals get loose. I worry that the evolutionary balance may be negatively impacted if the man made things get loose (example: such as farmed salmon that don't know how to migrate and breed).

All said, managing the science is more the challenge for us silly humans because of our greed and emotional responses to things. Banning the science makes no sense unless we wan't to go back to 50 year average lifespans. It's like a gun, gun's are OK as long as they are used properly.

(had to get firearms into this you know...) :p

'nuff said.

It isn't 'my' fact, it is the fact. It isn't my crusade, It's someone elses.

There are studies on both sides, one says it's ok, the other side says it isn't.

As I have repeatedly said, I dunno, and never claimed I did.

I said that a politician stopped all testing by the FDA about 22 years ago. That's an indisputable fact, and you just said so yourself.

Awhile back someone said "you can chose to eat GMO's, or not. I choose not."

Unless you are a "hippy-homesteader-self-sufficient-off-the-grid" type, I suspect you do NOT have a choice of what you eat.

And there is the problem. We all share just this one planet, and your toxic waste/pollution/GMO products are also mine, if I want them or not. I choose not. . .
