Rifel Sheath Anyone?

Anyone mounted a Rifle sheath to their tractor? Heard some rumors around here of some farmers being circled by Coyote's. Bet someone has a cool setup! :thumbsup:

Here's mine, 1/4" rings and 3/8" backbone and although it houses a Mossberg short barrel 12 ga, no reason you can't make one for a rifle. Buy a scabbard to fit your rifle then build the mount to fit the scabbard and tractor. This is my first ever welding project. See my thread with more photos in the TBN "customization" forum, it's still on the first page, titled something like "short barreled shotgun scabbard".

I’m all for having a rifle handy, but those stories are just that, stories. Coyotes circling folks on tractors is almost laughable.

Cabela's has a good scabbard. In regards to the predator issue-coyote-I wouldn't really worry. I have never heard of them circling a tractor. You should be more concerned with encountering a deer in RUT mistaking you for a rival or maybe worse, thinking you are a new girlfriend and trying to make you join his harem.:laughing:

Actually Coyotes do circle tractors sometimes especially mowing or plowing tractors.. the song dog is not stupid, he knows that the tractor will kick up his next meal in the form of a field rat or rabbit better than he can. I am not saying a pack of very hungry coyotes might not think of a human as prey, but I kinda doubt one on a tractor would fall into that arena.
