I think some of the responders are confusing usless with less used. All of the attachments that I have were at one time verry usefull. As I got my projects finished they got used less and less. Like some of the others I should sell some stuff but I keep telling myself that I may need it one day. My freinds and family are glad I still have all my attachments.
A middle buster is about the only usless attachment that I have.

For me it's the offset Ditch pointer I made for the 3 point hitch since I don't have a rear blade that angles for cleaning ditches. It flexes to much to really be useful. The main beam needs stiffened up. I used some C channel for the main beam, should of used box steel. Haven't used it 3 years.

A weight box -- a carryall serves many more uses and can always be loaded with weight if you need it:thumbsup:
I thought about other snappy responses but calling some people equipment (even useless equipment) is over estimating their worth :D:D

I really don't think any equipment ever becomes useless. If well maintained, eventually a use for it may be needed at a future time and place. The same goes for tools; etc. I had a need for my Great Grand Father's scythe just this past summer. He used it to reap crops with and it was passed along to me by my Father. It still has the original blade, though worn down, but it stills does the job after sharpening. I even save bolts, nuts, screws, washers and most everything else. Rest assured, that I do not consider myself a hoarder. Most everything is where I can get to it fairly easy, but I do have to dig at times.:D

You dont seem to sure:)

Dont try to convince us hehehe:D

Dont worry though I do the same thing if its usefull to me I refuse to throw it away(as long as its usefull)I may not get around to using it for 5 years but that doesnt make it trash it just makes it in the way for a little while.

That's a good one. I agree with you. Somewhere down the road-maybe ??? there will be a need for those items. Who knows, maybe my friends or neighbors may need something sometime. Maybe after some items become antiques, my grandchildren can sell them and cash in.:D

I hardly ever throw anything away other than paper. All scrap wood if it is 6" or longer gets saved. I had a bunch of bracket material left over from some shelving. It is really light weight and I though pretty useless. Over the past couple of years, I have used most of it up making light brackets for solar panels, brackets to hang my leaf blower on, hose roll ups and other small things that dont need 2x2 angle to support. i built some nesting boxes for my chickens from scrap lumber pieces and a baby chick box from some scrap plywood and the top of an old float that was 1/4" plastic that we cut off and took the foam out to make a cattle feeder. Very little stuff is totally useless.

One of the things I've been able to work out is a shared attachment arrangement with my buddy up the street, I keep all the attachments in a locked/gated storage area and we both use what we need. It has worked out well for both of us as we only need to keep one of everything and since I do his maintenance there is never an issue with low gear oil etc, as I keep everything up and ready to go at all times. As a bonus we both avoid "loaning" attachments by blaming ownership on the other guy and saying he won't lend it out.
