My son & I both purchased military gensets on 3/4 ton trailers from the government auction at FT Meade in Maryland (about 30 miles from his house). He towed it up here for Thanksgiving. After doing the preliminary tests to be sure it was operating ok it was time to take it off the trailer & put it in its final resting place in my garage.

It weighs about 1300 lbs - pretty much past the limit of my fel on the L3400, but worth a try. So I took off the bucket & put on the forks. Not so much love tho - I could 'amost' lift it but not quite:

So time to call a friend of mine & make this easy and safe:

He dropped it inside the garage about 6" from where it needed to go:

I used the Kubota to push it over a little:

and now I'm looking to sell the trailer (built like a tank - brand new tires, surge brakes, leaf springs, shocks etc)

Hi Willl

we each spent about $2k on them - they are rated 10kw continuous duty - there is a utube video of someone putting a 15 kw load on one for 30 minutes.
They are made by Onan, skid mounted - 4 cylinder air cooled diesels rated at, ready for this, 18 hp. 12.5 gal onboard day tank. everything was completely rebuilt 3 years ago & stuck in a warehouse - looks new

They auctioned off about 20 of them

Yes I am contemplating exactly how to exhaust pipe it out. The latest bright idea might just be some flex SS hose.

What are the trailer dimensions and weight capacity? How much are you looking to get for it?

Good looking equipment.

If the garage is seperate from your house, and you can open the doors to run it, it might be O.K. I would try to find a spot outside and build some kind of enclosure for it.

GENRAC will not even warranty a unit installed inside.
