Wear your seat belts guys. I just learned that the guy who was supposed to harvest my beans got in serious car wreck few nights back. He hit a deer in his Bronco, went to a ditch got thrown out of the car then the car rolled over him. He is alive in a hospital with four broken vertebrae, four broken ribs and in general he is pretty banged up lucky to survive.

But I heard that there is a 1/50000 chance of a seat belt killing me in case of an accident. I am not sure I want to take that kind of risk
Just kidding. I wear my seatbelt anytime I am on the road.

Seatbelts save more lives than loud pipes ever will.

I buckle up and don't even realilze it. I've gone to move the truck to hook up to the horse trailer and all but hung myself getting out cause I've buckled up. I don't understand how some one doesn't use one but then I don't understand why people still litter up the roads.

I buckle up automatically; it just comes naturally now after all these years of doing it. The same goes with driving the tractor and my son's golf cart. But sometimes I tend to forget when I am riding with someone else, until I notice that I didn't buckle up or the driver reminds me. Thanks for reminding everyone to buckle up. It does save lives, and on a lighter side, it prevents receiving a costly ticket.

Redneck, also make sure you put the updated insurance card in vehicle! It still costed 60 bucks for court costs after proving I had it!

Lucky that his passage window was not open. He would of been thrown under the truck that hit him.

While in the fire service for 32 years, I worked MANY accidents. Never saw where the use of a seat belt killed anyone. What did amaze me though, was how many people would want an $800.00 ambulance ride to the emergency room where they would want to use the phone to call a lawyer because they received "belt rash" on the shoulder and waist. I always thought, if they had seen some of the things I had, they would be sending their thanks to the car manufacturer, instead of trying to sue them and anyone else involved in the "accident".
