You wouldn't have been looking at a 9RT series JD were you? They are much larger with only one track. 460HP to 560HP range. Or was it another one like the Kubota pictured?

It looked a little larger than the Kubota in this thread but not by much. We were on the interstate so didn't get a great look.

New Holland has them too...

That does not look like a oem solution. Is that offered by New Holland, or is that in an aftermarket booth? There is an aftermarket company in Canada that will put tracks on everything from 4-wheelers, small tractors, mid-size trators, pick-up trucks, etc. Philip.

Okay, I'll play your game. Are those tracks installed at the factory by NH/Fiat? Philip.

I'm not trying to play any games, its not like I'm the New Holland guy trying to pick a fight with team Orange. I'm just here to talk about tractors. And I doubt it seeing as how the manufacture's symbol is still on the track frame.

I am just trying to be clear. The Kubota track is an oem solution with installation, warranty, and support from Kubota. I am sure Kubota worked very close with the track manufacturer to 'build in' a factory representable solution. This takes almost all risk off of the buyer if they purchase on oem factory part. I have put good non-oem parts on trucks, and it can be a problem with the dealership and manufacturer at times if a problem comes up. Philip.

I played around on the Kubota site and read the specification sheet on the 8540 crawler and it appears that the tracks are not interchangeable with tires. It did state the top speed was 13.2 mph. That's fast for a crawler.

The 8000T series Deeres will do 20 plus mph. I am sure the Challenger will go as fast.

I wonder how fast the case stiger's on tracks can go? I've see a lot of them in the Mississippi delta.

John Deere's High Speed Dozer (HSD) will do 16 MPH as well.

I'm impressed. My M9 in high range and high gear will do 22 mph at rated rpm.
