While you have lift at your disposal, take a look at what those trees will look like in a couple of years, make sure there will not be any hanging branches or deadwood above roof.

Yea, we've been lucky a few years, but just a matter of time before we get another hurricane, I am constantly trimming branches & deadwood and devised this redneck rig to assist in the task.

Coming from a former safety officer, personally, I think this design is brilliant. It looks a heck of a lot more stable than a ladder on the ground with no support. If I had forks I'd copy it. Only improvement I could see is make some leveling jackscrews on the base for slopes. However, that might not be needed as it seems like you could position the tractor so it isn't cross-slope. Looks a lot safer than a ladder by itself.
