I'll be interested to see what size thickness the steel is, and how heavy it is. That is a **** of a price with free shipping!

Here is one I made. Started with a take off trailer hitch. It is very strong.

Very nice, and I think that is a great price! I like the way they bent the triangle to make the upright, which should give it a lot of strength. Looks like it should hold up and give you many years of use.

I welded up something similar, but like fenix I put a 2 5/16 ball on the top so it can be used to move gooseneck trailers as well. The only things I bought were the receiver tube (~$20, but I only used half of it, so I have another half for another project), and the ball for the gooseneck (~$15), I was able to get everything else for free. The bottom is 3x3 square tubing, with 1/4" walls, and the upright is 2.5x2.5 square tubing with 1/4" walls also. The little gusset is 1/2" plate, and the pieces that the pins mount in are either 1/2" or 5/8", I don't remember. The two at the top the the toplink hooks to are 1/4". Something I have considered doing, but not gotten around to, is welding a 3/8" grab hook on the bottom tube, one on each side of the upright.

I would throw some gussets on the sides of you upright so it don't twist when your backing up a heavy trailer with the gooseneck...

Check all the reviews and apparently this is one **** of a receiver and you cant beat it for the price.90 bucks free shipping. made by some fabricator and comes with pins and several different colors. I ordered one in green for my tractor thats on order. Thought i would pass this along.

Looks good, you can cut some eye holes in those large gussets for break away chains. Also need a way to limit how far it can rise, with a chain attached to the draw bar, especially if you plan on pulling a heavy trailer or use a dump trailer.

I bought a Flexpoint, cost more and I still had to make those mods.

if you have time, can you explain further what you mean. i have no experience with these tractors and want to make sure everything is squared away.

That's a good point with the chain if using any type of trailer that doesn't have a lot of tongue weight on it. If your using a dump trailer for instance, when you dump the load and the weight bias shifts towards the back of the trailer, making the front end want to lift up, it will pull your 3pt hitch arms up with it. The chain will keep that from happening, this is why it's always advisable to use the drawbar for towing, however, they make it so darn convenient with these trailer hitches that I often avoid that recommendation
As long as your aware of this, those types of things can be avoided.

The break away chain part is simple, maybe not necessary if you're just towing around your level yard.

But the uncontrolled 3 pt rise can happen like Piston mentioned with a dump trailer, when you tilt the bed to dump, before the load slides out it puts a substantial (with my 5 ton dump it's pretty extreme) upward force on the tongue. That would allow the 3 pt arms to rise out of control, I'm not sure what damage if any that would do, but it is undesirable to have that kind of uncontrollable movement.

That same negative tongue weight or upwards force can also occur with any type trailer, while braking down hill or backing up hill, even with an otherwise well balanced load in the trailer.

I don't know why the manufacturers of these hitches don't warn of and provide an attachment point for a limiter chain.
I recently saw one advertised, with weight brackets and colors available, also a rolling stand to store it on with the suitcase weights and all, all the bells and whistles. But no break away chain loops or limiter chain option.

So I wrote them a nice email complimenting them on their product line but strongly recommended they incorporate the aforementioned attachment points.
never heard back from them so I don't know if they appreciated that critique or not.
