I took this pic of him tonight while we where out for our evening walk. When I get home, he runs up to meet me, and then follows me wherever I go. If we walk, he walks behind me. If I'm on the Mule, he chases after me, or if he can get up along side of me, he likes to shoot across in front of me while I'm driivng.

Today he is 18 months old. I plan on weighing him this weekend.

Oscar looks very contented. I'm surprised he hasn't changed color. Most all feral hogs around here are either black or red, the piglets are spotted. I had a herd of hogs run across the road in front of me a few weeks ago, I managed to stop in time. They were either black or dark red. Most of the road kill hogs I've seen are also black or red.

What's funny is that I never noticed any spotted ones before Oscar, but in going back over my game camper pics, they are actualy very common in my area. I also have some with with middle sections and some that are almost all blonde in color. But overall, most of them are very dark in color, from black, to dark brown to dark red.

When I caught Oscar, I was disapointed in his spots. I thought that it would be a lot cooler if he was black or a dark color because he would look meaner. In hindlsite, that was kind of foolish on my part, but I really liked the idea of him scaring people who came over and didn't know he was friendly. He still does that, but its only for a second. Once people realize how friendly he is, they totaly relax.

Having spots has a lot to do with his appeal. He is very popular on facebook and friends want to come over to see him and get pics of him with their kids. Now I'm glad for his spots and enjoy the compliments he recieves for his good looks!!!!

Is Oscar excited about the cruise?

Can't wait to see the photos of him going to down the slide, having fun at the beach, relaxing in a lounge chair on deck, hung over from the partying, funny photos with the ladies at the bar, etc.

I'm going to do a test this weekend and fill up his feeder tomorrow morning. Then see if he can go all week on it. If not, I have a few friends that will come over to make sure he has plenty of Ol Roy while I'm gone.

I appreciated his birthday wish yesterday on my Facebook page. Never expected Oscar to send me a birthday picture on my birthday. I felt special someone famous wished me happy birthday. Thanks Oscar! He definitely always brings a smile to a lot of people.
