Did you go to your last HS reunion?

Just curious. I went to my 25th, 10 years ago. It was fun to see people I hadn't thought of in years.

No, I wouldn't go to any reunion that would invite someone like me.

Yes, and hope to go to more. I have made them every five years except the first one since 1974. It is a 2000 mile round trip but I get to visit with my Dad while I am there, so it is well worth it. Wife hasn't made any since the first 5 year for her class. Her bunch is still waiting to grow up she says. She very much enjoys visiting with my classmates, so she looks forward to it.

No. Never had much interest. I left my hometown right after I graduated, and my family back there either died, retired to Florida, or moved away soon after. I haven't heard from those folks in nearly 40 years. I have kept in touch with a few guys I grew up with, but none of them has gone to reunions. I talked to a guy in the restuarant biz a couple years ago, he told me that there isn't much interest in HS reunions anymore. People contact who they want over the net or in person, no interest in the larger group. Seems like that is the way our society is now, folks just want to cling to their own.

No, and my class is due for 30 year.

I have stayed in contact with those I knew best.

I graduated from High School over 40 years ago. I have never attended any reunion. I do keep in contact with several of my close friends. Some have passed away. Several of my friends that have attended tell me that although they enjoy the renewed acquaintances, there are many former classmates that compare each others' success and ridicule others that haven't achieved the level of prominence that they have. I have no issues in regards to financial success, but I believe there are other achievements in one's Life that is more valuable than personal financial gain. One of these is raising a Family and providing them with Love, and being there when they need guidance. Just a thought.

The only people that were invited to my 5th were the clique people which didn't include me. Went to my 10th. They cancelled the 15th, and went to a all classes reunion for the 20th and 25th.
