Tom, I am concerned about this aspect and I plan to be careful and go easy with this 6000 lbs break out force capacity 3pt hoe on the loaner tractor. If there are any signs of stress/issues, I will most certainly think twice about putting it on my 5085M when it gets here.pclausen,
I really like Gator's post and agree 100% with it.
My suggestion would be to buy the subframe for the 5m/595 and attach it to the Woods BH with a fabricated adapter that bolts to the subframe and mates with the 3ph mounts on the BH.
Then when you find a 595(or even a 49), just pretty up the Woods, sell it, get the right one and it'll bolt right on.
Personally, I would never put a three point backhoe on my tractor, even if I had the OK in writing from Deere.
Regards,
Tom
I did look at a 49 at my dealers lot, and it looked like a toy compared to this Woods 1050. As far as getting a frame, the ones for the 49/595 is over $2000 new, which more than 50% of what I paid for the entire 1050.
Dealer did have an almost brand new 49 with a 54xx/50xx E frame for $4900, but alas, that would not fit an M, and it was less of a hoe than the Woods 1050. I almost went with a 5083E Limited because of this, but in the end decided that I really wanted the M for the "long haul".
I'll look into the 595 subframe and see if I can make some brackets to bolt the 1050 up to it, that might not be a bad interim solution if I can get a reasonable deal on the subframe, and find a 595 with no subframe.
I will be sure to post my pluses and minuses when I start digging up stumps this weekend. I still like to think that the horror storied about 3pt hoes are mostly from cat1 users, but I suppose that might be wishful thinking.
