Kubota M9540 HD 4x4
I have a Kubota M9540 that has the lower extendable/sliding arms. I have been in contact with PECS to see if their pin-on model or the new sliding arm model will fit my tractor. Since my implements are not set up for a regular quick hitch and all are different distances between pins, PECS seems to be the way to go. Is there enough play/slack between PECS hooks and the implement pins to work even though the implement pins are at different distances? For example, my grader blade lower pins are set approx 6" further apart than my box blade? So if I adjust/square PECS to my grader pins, will I have to readjust to use the box blade because of the different pin spacing and angel? Hooking it now the usual way the balls in the lower arms move to adjust to different spacing and angels. I really feel like it will work, I just wanted to make sure.

I hope I made some sense trying to explain what I was asking???

Also, how well do you think PECS cat. 2 will hold up to HD disc, graders, subsoiling?

My PEC systems (one Cat 1, one Cat 2) held up to everything I threw at them, and asked for more. Angle of attack was inconsequential. But as much as I enjoyed the PEC systems on my previous two tractors, I find absolutely no use for them on my current tractor. It too has sliding/extendable lower lift arms. Yes we have to get off the tractor to connect the factory links, but it's dead simple. But we're on the ground to connect that toplink anyway. Either system. So I'm not quite understanding why you think you need both on your Kubota. Besides, I'm not sure that an installed PEC on either of our tractors would permit the sliding arm to retract fully and/or lock in place.

Well my sliding arms don't slide to well. I don't need both, but I think that PECS would work well since we are not always on level ground.

No sliding arms here, but I have never had any of them line up when you go to hitch up..I thought it was gravity..i especially dislike the disc as it is too big to shake ..Just tractoring, but get your drift on it..

My M7040 has CAT 2 slide-in PEC. They are heavy duty and the angle makes no difference in hooking up implements with different spaces between the pins. It might if it was a CAT 0 but you wouldn't be hooking that up anyway.

When the Pat's replaces the slide-out the sliding feature is lost. (See below.)

Pat's hooks are in the same relative location as the balls used to be. This is a big advantage with a Top & Tilt and PTO because everything still lines up.

You had better check to see if the slide-ins are still available. Their webpage and the webpages of their distributors no longer have the instructions for measuring your extendable hooks up so a PEC can be made.

Another option is to just buy the weld-on Pat's. Then you can cut off the balls on the slide-outs and weld the Pat's in its place. You would continue to have the slide out function in that case.

Also, you could choose the angle to weld it so all of your implements could be made to fit. (Average the distance between the narrowest and the widest lift pins and weld the Pat's perpendicular to that measure.)

The directions for measuring the sliding is still on his website. We have been emailing back and forth and I may take mine off and send them to Pat and he can check the ones he has in stock or make me a set.

How about providing a link to the measuring page. I still can't seem to find it.
Thanks.
