Well I think things are going to start really moving soon. The engineer is finishing up the plans so I hope to submit them to the county within a month. Next weekend I am meeting a couple of contractors to see about doing my stem wall foundation. I have 3 estimates on drilling a well so I will pick one of those within a week. Estimate is for 1,000 feet. Ouch! And I have a logger that is sorting out some logs for my log home. It's going to be a busy Spring.

Mr. Fuller thought about you today when the weather report said it is snowing around Flag.
Interstate shut down to clear up the drifts.
See where you are getting ready to drill a well. have you tested the water in other wells close by. At the El Paso plant the water had so much mineral could not use at the plant. (pour a cup on the ground and could brand it and make a belt buckle.)
The company put in a line from the old rail road line that carried water for the steam engines in there day.
Stay warm keep wife happy.

The well just down the road a couple miles has great water, so I'm not worried about it.

Bo, get that camera charged up...we want to see progress pic's when they happen!

1,000'...ouch. A friend just drilled one 2 miles away from us and hit 20 gal @ 200'. I am still going back and forth whether to drill or try and get down to a spring 1500' away thru rocks:(

Today I dropped by the Stihl dealer to pick up a 261 and a 441. I'll be trying them both out this weekend.

I tried them both out and it was like cutting through butter.
On the smaller one, I was running it for a good part of the day, and had refilled it with fluids again, but failed to check the chain tension. Mistake. While holding it at an angle, the chain slipped off and got jammed around the lower chain guard. It thrashed the chain. I took it back to the dealer on Monday to get a new guard. They didn't have one in stock, so they scavenged one from a saw in the showroom, then they put on a brand new chain. After firing it up to make sure it was okay, they sent me on my way, with NO CHARGE.
Now that's what I'm talking about. I love good service.

On Friday I received my stamped plans from the engineer. So this week I need to finish my permit application and drop it off at the county on Thursday. It will be a 32 X 32 log home with two stories.
