Climate change happens. The Sun drives everything. Can we affect the Sun ? CO2 forcing is just a theory used to scare people. We can only adapt to the climate. It is ultimate arrogance to assume we know what is the best climate and think we can maintain it. A warming trend will be helpful to agriculture. Greenland used to be Green. When the "normal temperatures" we experience came ... the people lost Greenland

Don't let the "agenda" of Al Gore et al lead you into something that benefits them more than you.

If you say so?

Unprecedented levels of heat retaining gasses in the atmosphere couldn't do a thing except be used to frighten us by people who are afraid someone will make more money than themselves and cause them to be envious (and arrogant).

"Farmers everywhere face rising difficulties: water shortages as well as flash floods. Their crops are afflicted by emerging pests and diseases and by blasts of heat beyond anything they remember."

Rising Temperatures, Rising Health Problems

We are now beginning to see some infections and some vector borne diseases in different areas of the world that we'venever seen before. For example, diseases that have commonly been found within the Mediterranean are now being seen as far north as the Scandinavian countries. We've also seen some issues about mold that typically was only found within Mexico and Central America that are now as far north as British Columbia in Canada, he said.

The study on climate change and health was written by a 10 member committee, including members from Africa, Europe, Asia, India, the Middle East and the United States. It appears in the Proceedings of the American Thoracic Society."

WHO | Climate change and health

"High temperatures also raise the levels of ozone and other pollutants in the air that exacerbate cardiovascular and respiratory disease. Urban air pollution causes about 1.2 million deaths every year.

Pollen and other aeroallergen levels are also higher in extreme heat. These can trigger asthma, which affects around 300 million people. Ongoing temperature increases are expected to increase this burden."

Don Blankenship made 190 million dollars and Massey Energy ignored 85,000 environmental violations, coal slurry spills an rising cancer rates and you want us to stop the "agenda of Al Gore"?

Are you kidding or do you just parrot talk radio?

"while documenting how he has already lined his pockets on the back of exaggerated fearmongering about global warming."

"which is designed to bankrupt the United States and drastically lower the living standards of the American people"

"According to the database maintained by Open Secrets, the combined lobbying expenditures since 1998 of the oil and gas and electric utilities sectors is a whopping $2.3 billion.

In other words, the traditional fossil fuel sector has spent more than twenty-times the money the clean energy sector has when it comes to influencing federal laws and regulations.

The top five spenders last year on lobbying in the oil and gas sector were ExxonMobil, Chevron, ConocoPhillips, BP and Koch Industries."

Rob

Solyndra and other Green energy companies got a lot more money than fossil fuel companies. A pretty poor return for their lobby efforts. Check the top spenders for the democratic party ... Unions all in the top 5

Why is a union required for public workers ?? Does the gov't not follow labor law? who protects the public from rapious unions?

Look, the environment is not about Al Gore , I'm not interested in the Democratic party or the Republican party, this is about the environment and the rate we are using this planet and man's abuses.

That's the issue, that's the problem and that's what has to be addressed, not how much Al Gore makes or how much he spends. The environment is not a liberal issue it's the land that sustains us and hopefully future generations.
We use too much of the resources of this planet and we justify it by saying that anyone who thinks we shoouldn't is against free enterprise (read money) and wants to see the government collapse which is more rubbish.

The day of people living in big houses, using 3 and 4 megawatt hours of electric and driving gas guzzlers is over. The planet won't cater to that selfishness any longer and the US is the biggest waster of energy in the world.

So spare me this parroting that tree huggers are destroying our economy or some other absurd nonsense. This is about a planet on its knees after two hundred years of total abuse. Now who here thinks this kind of world destruction can go on another two hundred years at this rate and who here thinks the resources of this planet will tolerate that?

So whether we address CC or pollution (which addresses CC) we have to reduce our consumption and Al Gore is 100% right on this, it's an "Inconvenient Truth", we don't want the truth of our abusive life styles we want to keep sticking our heads in the sand and consuming.
That's why people hate Al Gore, he made it public that we can't keep going on this way and no one wants to hear that.

Are you net zero, or are on the long list of over consumers? I'll bet dollars to donuts you're a lot closer to the later group but you want to get on the 'we hate Al Gore' list like some talk show yo yo who couldn't find a flat on a unicycle but laughs all the way to the bank while people who can't think for themselves parrot his pabulum.

My problem is that Gore and (most of ) those who follow him don't practice what they preach. I understand that he's put in solar panels and geothermal heating now, but until a few years ago (after this was pointed out), he talked about conserving and his mansion used up more than 15 other homes combined. Even when he wasn't home to use it. He traveled in a 30 year old private jet, certainly not efficient and dumped as much CO2 from the exhaust as a newer commercial jet carrying 100 people. To go from a hotel to his speeches he has a 6 Suburban motorcade. To travel 3 or 4 blocks. Quite frankly, I respect much more what you say Rob, than what Al or any of his ilk spew.

Climate Change Has Nothing to Do With Al Gore (Part 1): Paul Douglas - Bloomberg

"How did so much of the Republican Party enter perpetual denial? We致e turned climate science into a bizarre litmus test for conservatism. To pretend that heat-trapping gases can be waved away with a nod and a smirk is political fairytale. No harm. No foul. Keep drilling."

I'll tell you exactly how this got to be. We now live in a corporate oligarchy, corporations control this country. This is why Monsanto can sue Vermont.

When researchers found out that Colony Collapse Disorder (vanishing bees) was the result of pesticides Monsanto bought the research company.

Prison Planet.com Blamed for Bee Collapse, Monsanto Buys Leading Bee Research Firm

"Monsanto, the massive biotechnology company being blamed for contributing to the dwindling bee population, has bought up one of the leading bee collapse research organizations. Recently banned from Poland with one of the primary reasons being that the company痴 genetically modified corn may be devastating the dying bee population, it is evident that Monsanto is under serious fire for their role in the downfall of the vital insects. It is therefore quite apparent why Monsanto bought one of the largest bee research firms on the planet."

Massey Energy in WV had 85,000 environmental violations. Where was the EPA? The EPA is filled with people like Linda Fisher, ex. Dupont Corporation executive. You can't have these conflicts of interest in a watch dog group and expect to have them making sure coal plants have scrubbers. You can't have these conflicts and corporations like Massey, the people famous for blowing off the tops of mountains, follow regulations. Don Blankenship ex. CEO of Massey walked away with 190 million bucks after being CEO for 18 years. The people of WV were left with leaking coal slurries, poverty and cancer.

Welcome to a corporate oligarchy, we gave corporations the rights of individuals and this is what we got for it. Pretty soon all the lobby money (read bribe) flowing into DC won't have to flow, they already own the government.

NO. ... Its Citizens United and the loudest megaphone wins the hearts and minds of the unminded.
